Game Thread - Wildcard - Washington V Tampa Bay (1 Viewer)

If these clowns do an emotional sign off again today, even though they did it all last week, I'm going to actually vomit.

I am now officially routing agianst your team, along with Hall and Portis who i have in a big money ssallary playoog league.
that'll show him!
So are you a skins fan...or just nosy?
don't like either team, but I bet on the Skinsnot like I'm reading your PMs or something here. if you wanted privacy, perhaps the game thread isn't the best place for you.

what % of Bucs fans are bandwagon fans who couldn't care less about football before they won a Super Bowl?

You're better than this.
I've been to Tampa many times and have relatives down there. I'm told the number is pretty high, and I think Capella has even admitted this fact before.

They started improving in the late 90s, but they were horrible before then. Here is their percentage of seats filled each year, and keep in mind that these numbers are a bit inflated because they don't have a huge stadium to fill.Year

1984 63.5%

1985 52.2%

1986 53.9%

1987 58.4%

1988 65.3%

1989 74.0%

1990 76.7%

1991 62.5%

1992 70.1%

1993 63.5%

1994 61.8%

1995 79.7%

1996 56.1%

1997 91.4%

1998 98.6%

1999 97.4%

2000 97.6%

2001 99.8%

2002 97.3%

2003 99.9%

2004 99.5%

Just because interest was "sparked" by, oh say, WINNING for the first time in their existence, doesn't mean those are bandwagon fans. Bandwagon fans are Cowboys fans who can't find Dallas on a map.

I'm talking about the type of people who couldn't name 5 different Buccaneers players. I think they exist in high numbers down there.

Redskins have 78 yards of offense, Bucs have 127 at the half. Anybody who thinks this game is over is silly.

:goodposting: The Bucs looked good making those short, quick passes in that last drive even though it resulted in a punt.

On the plus side for the 'Skins, the defense has come to play, and in particular is getting pressure at key times, they're covering the WR's very well deep, and Moss looks like he's getting opportunities deep.

My concerns/questions:

What's wrong with Portis?

Why aren't they throwing to Cooley more?

The announcers just said that Gibbs is undefeated when going into the 2nd half with a lead :unsure:They had to mean "in the playoffs", right?

Not sure if that qualifies as bandwagon fans. Were they fans of another team before the Bucs got good? Please conduct a poll and get back to me.Maybe they just didn't look good in dreamsicle-orange.

This game is a long way from over, Skins fans have had their heart ripped out and stepped on too many times before.

I'm saying they weren't even football fans (tough to blame them with how bad the Bucs were I guess), but then hopped on the Bucs bandwagon when they started winning. Once the team starts losing again, they will be nowhere to be found. That qualifies as a bandwagon fan, no?

The Redskins also had Moss open twice for TDs and made bad throws(one by Brunell, one by Portis). This game could be 28-3 right now.

Maybe You said it yourself, hard to blame them

A little presumptuous to say they would be nowhere to be found... they sucked last year but people still showed up. I think it just took a little spark to gain local interest. That team was the joke of the NFL my entire life until around 1999.

For those of an IDP slant, Arrington's line currently reads:T-A: 6-2INT: 1FF: 1Which is an absolutely stellar performance. Any chance he's kept around for next season by the Skins? Or is he gone?
