Game Thread - Wk 15 - Dallas Cowboys at New Orleans Saints (3 Viewers)

Bush out of the game - looks like hamstring or cramp.

Good sportsmanship by the cowboys letting him hobble out of bounds vs. lighting him up.

Anyone else notice the logo still says Thursday night football? Good job nfl network!
I think this is a special Saturday edition of Thursday Night Football. Or something.
Why wouldn't they just call it Saturday Night Football?
Basic marketing. They are branding Thursday Night Football. Their regular show/game.
There are times when a muddled marketing message comes across as stupid. This is one of those times.

Monday Night Football did it for years in the preseason and when they got Saturday games. They promoted those games as special editions of MNF. It is smart and it is really basic marketing. You might find it stupid, but it would be a failed opportunity not to continue the label and brand their product, which is Thursday Night Football.

Great turnover. They still need another score I think. New Orleans has been better in the second half. This is the. Best the boys have looked all year.

:goodposting:It's dumb and necessarily confusing. Saturday Night Football (in like script) would be fine.

I'm not looking at the stats but it seems that Romo, or perhaps it's Garrett and the game plan, picks either Witten or Austin to just feed the ball to a given week.

This vein of the thread is dumb, but marketing is marketing. Really basic branding is being attacked? Whatever. I won't respond again, but I do have an MBA. and I have studied and written volumes on branding. I don't think it's smart. I know it is. I've seen studies done on the MNF brand. You may not like it, but a lot of Saturday NFL watchers are learning about TNF tonight, whether FF junkies are or not.

C'mon CC, your responses were solid without pulling out our MBA card.

ok I will say it that call vs Roy Williams was horrible it was not a penalty. Also just as Matt Millen stated in the pre game Roy Williams and double moves do not go very well. Dallas needs to stp that
Yes, that was a bad call. Props to the Cowboys for dominating this game so far. Plus, they get the ball to start the 2nd half.
