Last weekend he played in strong winds. Did you see that game? For nowBut lets remember that this week they are facing the 2-5 Titans and last week against a decent Defense, he had the stellar stats of: Garrard (10-17, 87)

i think it is 6 or 7 - 1What is the Jags record in games that Garrard starts?
Garrard just looks like one tough QB. A linebacker type.fsufan said:i think it is 6 or 7 - 1Da Guru said:What is the Jags record in games that Garrard starts?
7-3 now. They showed the stats at the beginning of the game. Two of the losses came pretty early on in his career with the Jags (he has been with them since 2002 I believe), but between last year and this he is 7-1 and has really managed the games well. I would like to see how he responds to being behind a little more though to see if he has 'comeback' ability.Da Guru said:What is the Jags record in games that Garrard starts?
Garrard seems to be a grittier leader than Lefty.7-3 now. They showed the stats at the beginning of the game. I don't know if I would completely agree. Leftwich has played through injury and has the respect of his teammates. However, I think the playing through injury and the close losses because of that is why Del Rio is playing Gerrard. That and having three solid RBs to put on the field, one of which can throw well, seems to really overpower other teams. I have to say though, that right now I am more impressed with Gerrards decisions in his limited times as a starter.Garrard seems to be a grittier leader than Lefty.7-3 now. A win is a win!! This is the NFL. Leftwich just lost too Houston a few weeks ago Einstein!! Thats why Garrard is playing....It was Tennessee...
Garrard is playing because Leftwich was too hurt to play. Leftwich tried to play through it, but he was becoming a hindrance to the team, which I'm sure annoyed Jack Del Rio. I get the feeling that this annoying has been spun by the media into "Coach doesn't like Leftwich, he's gonna switch QBs permanently." Del Rio has since told the media that a 100% healthy Byron Leftwich is the team's quarterback.A win is a win!! This is the NFL. Leftwich just lost too Houston a few weeks ago Einstein!! No, Garrard was playing because Leftwich is injured...A win is a win!! This is the NFL. Leftwich just lost too Houston a few weeks ago Einstein!! Thats why Garrard is playing....It was Tennessee...
Its easy to say that a guy "is not 100%" and keep Garrard as the starter. Its Del Rio's out, if he needs one.Del Rio saying anything new? Everything out of his mouth the past 2 weeks has been "Leftwich is the guy when he's 100%"I haven't seen any new reports where he's quoted, yet. Should be interesting come his weekly presser, whenever that is.
Del Rio said he does not think Lefty will be 100% for a long time. That is a good out.Byron (Leftwich) is about 85-90 percent and is probably not going to get better than that until he has a long time off. In my opinion, he's about as good as he's going to get,” said Del Rio, who talked about the probable need for offseason clean-up surgery on Leftwich's left ankle.Coach Jack Del Rio wouldn't discuss the Jaguars' quarterback situation so it was impossible to tell if Del Rio will keep playing David Garrard as long as he keeps winning or will switch back to Byron Leftwich when he thinks he's healthy. -- Florida Times-Union
