Now that he regained the starting job, is he going to have the most points in terms of kicking?

Would you pick him up over guys like Nugent, Gano, Prater or Scobee?

I know people hate talking about kickers, but thinking about that high powered saints offense one would have to think Garret will rack in 2-3 field goals a game.

OR...

When choosing kickers in the WW, its a lottery?

I have him and the matchup this week looks to be ok. NO offense will score. But New Orleans really misses their playmakers PT, Bush. Without a good running game, defenses are taking away Brees' seams routes he loves to dissect teams with. Still, the New Orleans kicker should have some play in the team scoring at least 20 points, which is kind of a safety net you like for your kicker. Going forward, I think he improves, especially as Bush and PT get healthy. Bush is thinking about returning as early as week 7, so that is something. If you want a nice WW kicker this week, keep your eye on S. Graham of the G-Men. Word is Tynes may not kick and the Giants are probably going to rout the Lions. Tynes isn't considered out yet. But a situation to monitor.

I've thought about picking him up since I own Brees but can he be trusted going forward? He missed a few chip shots that landed him in the doghouse.

I read somewhere that Payton said Hartley would NOT be "on a short leash"....... Then again, Payton has said PT has looked much better each of the last 2 weeks, even intimating he could play w/out practicing. Believe at your own risk. (Depends on how your league's waiver wire works--in mine, no waiver wire....we use blind bidding & our weekly bidding period ends on Thurs nights)

I don't see any Saints kicker as a 'slam dunk' this year. Last year they attempted 0 or 1 FG's in 7 of 16 games. Granted, the Saints offense doesn't look like the TD Machine that they were last year, but it's something to think about...

I traded for him this off season and now dropped him for Succop. At least I'm confident Suckup will keep his job for now.
