I work in software support for a large global organization. We had to change to a totally different platform that is compliant with GDPR and this new environment is not designed for a support model! So it's a real treat ( ) to use. We can save no client personal information and it just makes the entire process a hassle.
Funniest part is our historical database has been entirely redacted so emails appear as @maskedemail.mycompany.com and client names are some sort of random letter generator. I"m seeing names like "Citutemossul Gotte" and "Ackernmeave, Schow" . Of course the ticket history has been cut up so it's pretty much useless which will make my job much more difficult to borrow solutions from older tickets. So, I'm with Bruce (or maybe I should say Gotte)
client emailed me this morning asking to setup a meeting today about this
they have no EU clients. hell, they barely have clients outside their state. that said......... a little late to just start talking about this now, no, chief?
