Get Connor Barth active tonight! (1 Viewer)

Raider Nation

Devil's Advocate
Looks to me like he has a good chance to be the top kicker of the week.

Indoors is always a plus, Tampa should move the ball but their drives might stall out in/near the red zone. The Rams' offense stinks, so they shouldn't pull away, keeping FGs in play for the Bucs. Everything adds up to Barth having a good night if you stream kickers.

Last week

Barth played NO who was #2 most pts to Kickers and put up 5 pts

Prater played @ St. Louis who was # 6 and put up 2

Game script is very important when choosing a kicker. That's why I mentioned the Rams' poor offense. It's unlikely they get off to a 21-0 lead. Last week when Barth had a very average game, they were chasing the Saints all day long. New Orleans got up 14-0 and never trailed. FGs are kind of out the window at that point. Could St. Louis score a couple of times early on, maybe one on defense, and put Tampa in a hole? Sure, anything is possible. But I don't see it as likely.

I know this is playoff time, so I don't want to twist anyone's arm. In the end, the decision is yours. Just throwing it out there.

The problem with Barth is the Bucs offense got good. They led the league in field goal attempts for much of the year. Winston started connecting and Barth was not so valuable. Good luck tonight, they may return to mediocrity.

He could have had a decent day against NO last week. He made one field goal and kicked two extra points, but he missed a 47 yard field goal.

I don't know, I've got Boswell who has been kicking up a storm and facing the Osweiler-led Broncos in Pittsburgh. I don't expect the Broncos to put up a lot of points and their defense can force the Steelers to kick FG's.

One of three misses over the last five weeks - and an XP missed as well - with no weeks in double figures. Prior to that he was leading the league FGA / G & hitting double figures every week (4 game sample.) Decent leg.

I don't think the prop is outrageous, I expect both teams to be cautious. The Rams got nothing - jet sweeps to Austin, handoff & hope to Gurley. Bucs are missing VJax but ASJ is healthy for the 3rd game in a row. Think it comes down to one team has a QB and the other doesn't. I'm expecting both RBs to be very busy. Overall it's kind of a weird bold prediction - Barth hasn't been productive in over a month.

Picking kickers is like roulette. Hate those little bastards when it comes to fantasy, unless I hit the one that kicks 5 FG's.

Agreed everything looks good for Barth tonight.

I usually find one early on who is accurate and plays in good offense and ride them no matter what unless some crazy weather things is going to happen.

Metrics are so-so on Barth tonight. Last week he was #1 and laid an egg. Picked him up and started him in every league. Dropped him this week and picked up Walsh who is #2 in metrics for the week. Barth this week I have at 17. Who knows.

OK RN, I threw him in my $100 HTH Fanduel game.

Oof down 21-3. Not looking good for Barth unless the Bucs can get it going. I put him in over Santos at the last minute, hoping to see at least another 50 yarder.

well, at least you let your balls hang out bud and made the declaration. I wasn't sure what you saw, but have to appreciate a guy who is willing to lay it out there.

even worst case scenario he's got 9 which is solid. if game was closer he woulda put up 20+. Good call even with the early blowout.

Not a bad call for a kicker. Respect for RN laying it out there, and it certainly could have been worse. Picking a kicker is always a crapshoot, and I'm surprised with how quickly this game got out of hand in favor of the Rams. Did not expect Keenum to play like he has so far.

Barth made more FGs tonight than Hauschka has for me over the last 4 weeks or so. Good call.

I still think it's more or less fruitless to try to get a kicker for a particular matchup, but maybe it's just a skill I simply don't have.

Good call, I didn't like the script so I passed on him and took a chance with Bullock for sat night. Hope it doesn't bite me in the ####.
