Yes, they gave up a 6th to swap with Chi. They drafted for need and thought Chi might take him. They now feel they can move Seymour inside or outside for added flexibility on defense.

NE got their DT... a second-round player in Warren. Why move up a spot?Bears getting Boller sounds reasonable or McDougle.
They commented that the Pats have a ton of draft picks (13?) so I guess they can burn a few to get who they want...Pat fans, what do you think of the Ty Warren pick? I know many thought this is who the Pats were targeting...is he better than William Joseph?

Yes.Zona made out well.
Agree in theory, but we really need to see the picks first, then need to see them signed :bag: .
With all these DT's selected, it looks like the Saints knew what they were doing. I have to admit I didn't like it at first. But the Saints #1 need is DT, and they wouldn't have had anything to get at #17.TF

Saints get # 6, 37, 102Cards get #17, 18, 54 Link
I think that was a bad trade for the Cardnals
Depend who they get...we'll know soon. The Cardinals need more than just 1 player getting two mid-roudn first could really help build a team if picked correctly. Look at what it did for the Jets a couple of years ago...

I think they are satisfied so far. Depends on what happens at #19.I really believe they were thinking the could have moved up to #10 to get Sullivan. Sullivan going early was a real surprise. But bottom line, DT is so deep this year I think they'll be satisfied with Warren if they get good value out of #19.

Looks more like Martz had a bowl on his head and had his pissed off OC cut his hair. What Cornheiser (SP) just said about the UPSIDE/BACKSIDE about the Saint pick was priceless. :bag:

I wonder if there are some war rooms scrambling around like that one owner at every fantasy draft:"hey slow down, we're going too fast. Can somebody read me the last 6 picks, I need to cross them off of my 8 draft boards"

Update from Baltimore:Ravens were offering a third for the Vikes' #7. But when Sullivan went at #6, they knew one of their Top 8 guys would be available at #10 and they downgraded their offer to a fourth and fifth. The Vikes decided to shop around for a better offer and by the time they took the Ravens' deal all he!! had broken loose. Also, Ozzie hasn't made his usual press appearance fueling specualtion the Ravens are still working on a first round deal for Boller.

#15 - Jerome McDougle - Eagles...Bringing it home for Jerome!I was hoping the Pats got him with the 14th pick. Oh Well...1 Cincinnati CARSON PALMER 2 Detroit CHARLES ROGERS 3 Houston ANDRE JOHNSON 4 New York DEWAYNE ROBERTSON 5 Dallas TERENCE NEWMAN 6 New Orleans JOHNATHAN SULLIVAN (trade with Cards)7 Minnesota KEVIN WILLIAMS (actual #9)8 Jacksonville BYRON LEFTWICH (actual #7)9 Carolina JORDAN GROSS (actual #8)10 Baltimore TERRELL SUGGS11 Seattle MARCUS TRUFANT 12 St. Louis JIMMY KENNEDY 13 New England TY WARREN (trade moved up 1)14 Chicago MICHAEL HAYES (trade moved down 1)15 Philadelphia JEROME MCDOUGLE (trade with SD)

Cards will probably take another Husker with Kelsay. Will have two Husker Ends.Boller would be a good option also.
