If that's who they wanted ARI should have moved down again. Perhaps they tried but were not successful.

Shouldn't have moved down in the first place. They got caught up in doing the 'popular' thing instead of just drafting their guy.Could they have been scared off by the 'hometown hero' tag (and disappointment that Jake Plummer made of it)?

Pace quite possibly could have been there for them at #54.

Sure. But Arizona has need all over the place. Take the best player available and be happy.Boss Bailey, Kyle Boller, Chris Kelsay... all have slid down the draft board a bit. Would have been great value and fill the swiss cheese holes everywhere that zona has.

Many have said there are only 13-15 players with first round grades this year. If they have lots of needs they should have down further again to get more picks. I think we'll see many "surprising" picks now as the difference in teams' draft boards become more apparent.

Cards could have traded down and gotten Pace. I think they could have stayed where they were #6 & #37 and gotten Suggs/Washington, which is a better option than what they ended up with.

IMO-Washington won't be there. Then again, I've not done well predicting anything. Even Martz went BPA. What is the world coming too?

I'm kinda thinking that they don't want a RB now. I don't think Larry Johnson will be there for their pick. If Holmes isnt healthy, you don't want McGahee. If Holmes is healthy, why would you need McGahee???

Great draft for Baltimore so far, Seattle also doing well getting Trufant at #11.On the bright side for Arizona, I think they've locked up the #1 pick in 2004.

Don't know yet. The rumor in Boston is a #1 next year. The Pats want out of this years weak second half of round one.

I never did understand the so-called grades for players when they never have played in the NFL. Be here in five years from now and then tell me how Baltimore and all the other teams did!

With the way the Ravens are shaping up this offseason, that #1 pick should be well into the first, at least.Still a fairly high price to pay, but Baltimore got the guy they wanted. I heard something earlier that Minnesota had agreed to a trade with Baltimore for the #7, but the clock ran out. Anyone hear any details on that near-deal?

Like everything, the grades are based on the best info at the time .With the number of busts, however, I certainly get your point. But they're having a good draft...maybe not a good 2003 team...
