Getting sued by neighbor (1 Viewer)

I recently moved into a new city. I lived there for only four months and was sued by a neighbor two houses down for him slipping on my sidewalk. There were no witnesses and no police report. Just his word, and I keep my sidewalk in great shape shoveling and salting. He ended up with some medical bills and my insurance took care of everything as well as finding me not negligent.

A year later he is suing me again for loss of personal enjoyment and some other bull#### from the same incident. Again, my insurance will take care of everything but what a pain in the butt and stressful situation. Every time I see the guy I want to punch him in the face.

What's my play here. Obviously keep quiet and wait til the process plays itself out, but I want to make his life hell just like the stress he put on mine.

Any suggestions for making a neighbors life miserable are appreciated.

get a restraint order so he can't come within 150 feet of your house. That will keep him from slipping again.

Screwdriver to the side wall of his tires. Vasoline under the door handles. Bag of flaming poop. Not sure how badly you want to mess with him.

An occasional drop of mink musk (or other such stinky animal scent from a trapper supply store) on door knob, car handle or mailbox lever every now and then.

Your insurance company seems pretty dumb. I thought standard practice on a settlement was to include a provision making it clear that the payment represents final payment for all current and future claims related to the incident and explicitly barring future lawsuits related to the matter.

That's lame. I've never heard of having to maintain your sidewalk from an act of God.
Our city can fine you $50 for not cleanig the snow off their sidewalk. I know they have given warnings but am not sure they have actually fined anyone.

I've always heard the case for house liability insurance as "in case someone slips on your sidewalk and decides to sue you" but this is the first time I've actually heard it being used that way.

give his contact info to eminesence. Obviously, this guy knows how to properly sue, em could use some lessons.

Here's a few

-Get a security cam and record your walk and try and catch him claiming something he didn't do...if you do, sue the #### out of him for every cent his fake lawsuits have cost you.

-I agree with the slip-and-fall on his sidewalk. Any time it snows, sleets, etc, make a few passes by his house. If nothing else, it'll make him REALLY think about what a pain it is to keep it spotless clean.

-Not sure how far away his yard is, but you can buy Round-up and put it in a super-soaker and have fun with killing his yard. (Be careful in case HE has a camera)

Round-up ice cubes?

This... and furthermore... if the city comes along and plows three feet of snow from the road onto the sidewalk you all have to shovel it off. How does that make sense?
