Giants #3 WR (1 Viewer)

I'm trying to figure out the Giant's number 3 WR, who I think will gradually increase in productivity as Toomer ages. Just saw this headline below. What perplexes me is that I thought Carter was their number 3 and the comment above implies Tyree was number 3; he was their returner, maybe that is why they liked him. I've also attached mid-season headlines which showed Tyree starting the season as #3 and then being replaced by Carter mid-October. Hell if Denver release Luke, how good can he be; it's not like Denver is chock full of good WRs - after Rod Smith and Lelie, you have Watts, Adams, and DeVoe. Maybe the progress of Adams and DeVoe caused the release of Luke; I know Watts hasn't lived up to expectations. Anyway, does anyone have insights on the Giants #3 WR?THE NEWSThe Giants signed free agent wide receiver Triandos Luke to a reserve/futures contract on Wednesday, the team's official web site reported. The Broncos selected Luke in the sixth-round of the 2004 draft but released him on September 3, 2005.Our ViewThe Giants weren't enamored with their receivers outside of Plaxico Burress, Amani Toomer, and David Tyree in 2005, and there's a chance that Luke will earn a roster spot next season. We don't foresee any fantasy value, though. Tyree earned some time at #3 when Carter got off to a slow start, but Carter is the #3, make no mistake. Tyree is a special teams specialist who can play WR in a pinch, but his main value is as one of the top special teamers in the league. Carter's still got track speed and had the healthiest year of his career. He's definitely a long term sleeper.
