Giants at Eagles (1 Viewer)

Sneak by the Browns, beat Baltimore, crushed by Arizona, beat Giants.

I can only assume (not just from this year, this has been a pattern) that Andy just doesn't take certain opponents seriously, and spends all his time planning for just the "hard" games. The Eagles seem to play down (or up) to the level of their competition.

Ramses involved in 3 PI calls in the last minute, and no fantasy points to show for it. Next year, I agitate for WRs to get PI penalty yards as receiving yards. Crimony!
They should at least get a point if you are in a PPR league

Coughlin, hands on knees, greatest thing ever.
I don't get why Coughlin opted to kick a 54 yd FG on 3rd down with 15 seconds left. It seems a lot more risky to kick on 3rd down instead of trying for another 5-10 yds on a quick sideline play.
No timeouts, and it was 3rd and 19, so can't clock it. Not enough time to get FG team out there if you're tackled in bounds or short of the first. If your kicker is in range, you have to kick it there. Apparently, Tynes' range tonight was 53 :football:

The probability of making a 50yd+ FG is around 55% and this is also Tynes' career average from that distance. 15 seconds is plenty of time to run a play to the sideline or take a shot at the end zone and your odds of picking up 5+ yds and getting out of bounds to stop the clock are much higher than 55%. It's an extremely cowardly play by Coughlin to kick a FG on third down from that distance and the irony is that he's actually taking a much greater risk in his attempt to be risk adverse.

Maybe the bigger critique is the Giants going for the home run on 2nd down. Time is running out and your priority has to be to turn it into a more makeable FG for Tynes, who doesn't have a particularly strong leg.

The Eagles allowing anything on the sidelines or on in the EZ in that situation is far less than 55%. On third down, the Giants can't clock the ball after a gain in the middle of the filed so.... what could they do?

On a side note, Eli's 24/42, 309, 2/1 day is very deceiving. Eagles secondary blanketed the Giants' receivers.
what game were you watching? i saw nothing but giants receivers running wide open throughout.as for whoever said tynes' range was 53 yards, lol. that first kick was good from 60 but off to the left. he overcompensated trying to straighten it out and it fell short.
