Giants vs. Steelers - Week 1 on Monday Night Football! (1 Viewer)

Ben looks just fine. Seventeen expected points in the first half isn't too shabby a performance. Not sure what people are carping about, really.

What was Julian Love trying to do there? Washington jumped so tackle him to bring him to the ground. He looked like he was trying to strip the ball.

This may be wishful thinking from a Connor owner here, but there was one play after he had been stuffed like four times in a row where he was waiving his hands and looking over at the sidelines. I wonder if Tomlin just yanked him to send a message.

They were taping his ankle on the sidelines so I’d guess no.

He played after that a few plays. They said he got his ankle taped.

But Snell ran better in my opinion. Wouldn’t shock me if Snell slowly takes over for Conner. Conner too unreliable with being injured too easy.

Ankle:

Steelers' James Conner: Injures ankle Monday

Conner had his left ankle taped early in the second quarter of Monday's game against the Giants, per Maria Taylor on the ESPN broadcast.

Prior to his departure, Conner had six carries for nine yards and reeled in two of four targets for eight yards. As long as Conner is sidelined, Benny Snell will handle early downs while Jaylen Samuels takes on a pass-catching role out of the Steelers backfield.
