I am a Michigan myself. We have a lot of prospects in the 07 draft. Here is my ranking of them based on watching every game, reading the local papers, and listening to sports talk radio.
Leon Hall- If a team is looking for a shutdown corner, then they will be very disappointed with Leon Hall. He fits much better into a Cover-2 scheme. He is very physical, a solid tackler, and a ball hawk. He could have a very productive career in a Cover-2 scheme.
Lamar Woodley- Woodley's measurements were very disappointing- especially for an undersized LB. He benefited greatly from being surrounded by so many pro-caliber players. He was the veteran leader of the defense, but only the 5th most talented player. He has a great motor, but in the NFL thats not enough. He projects to a special teams player IMO.
Alan Branch- Scouts drool at Branch's combination of size and athleticism. He was considered a Top 5 lock for awhile. Now people are down at him because they don't feel he was productive. Branch really confuses me too. I always felt like he was overrated, but then again he was double-team every single play. He was the center of a defense who (with the exception of 2 runs against OSU) was impossible to run on all season. I can't decide if Branch is the best value in the draft or Gabe Watson 2.0
David Harris- My personal favorite UM player in the draft. I have no clue how he went so under the radar for so long. He was the best player on the best D in the country. He is a heavy hitter who is always at full speed. Despite that, he is not reckless, but actually a very sound tackler. He is a much better athlete then anybody was giving him credit for. IMO, he is one the premier defensive players in this draft.
