I got 5 hours of sleep last night so I don't feel like complete #### today, that is until I had Greek food for lunch today.  I like Greek food in general but this wasn't good.

So our dwarf avocado tree finally started producing after 4 years.  This thing had to be shipped from freaking California per Mrs. O and was uber expensive.  It didn't do squat for years and now it decides to do something.  I don't like avocados fwiw.  Have it!

do you have a picture of the tree?  how big is it?  my wife would love to have an avocado tree, but the regular ones get huge!

Took my daughter to her first MLB game today. People are weird. Like half the stadium wandered in after the 3rd inning. Most of them then spent more time getting up and getting more to eat and drink than they did watching the game. I almost pushed a lady down the stairs after I had to get up for the 5th time in 3 innings to let her go get something.

I get that going to a game is an experience that encompasses more than just the game, but I don't understand paying $25+ a ticket and then not even watching the game. Could have saved a bunch of money by just going to a bar.

You're there for half a day... there are bodily needs.

I think it's now called a Smidgen avocado tree.

Lately, I've found Chex is all I need to maintain a fulfilling cereal life. The ability of Chex cereal to hold milk inside of the square while maintaining crispness is unparalleled cereal technology. Corn Chex is the gold standard while Honey Nut and Chocolate Chex add an appealing flavor dynamic.
Wheat Chex rules.  Especially in the traditional Worchestire/butter roasted mix.  It absorbs the most butter sauce.

Can't believe people would be bored at an MLB game.  Who doesn't want to watch a pitcher that just threw 40 pitches in the bullpen throw 8 more on the mound?  What kind of person doesn't want to watch 11 throws to first base because a guy is 5 feet off first base?  And don't get me started on folks who aren't interested in seeing 17 foul balls from a dude who can't break .230.

My favorite part of watching a baseball game is how every single player and coach spits every 3 seconds.  Whether they are chewing tobacco or sunflower seeds, it's a requirement for everyone to constantly be spitting all game long.

Ease back on the knives brah. People go to the emergency room for that ####. Apparently

Maybe it's just me but there seems to be a lot of bad stuff going on with the GMTAN denizens. Be it family problems, recent deaths, unemployment etc. Thopras to all. But I'd like to add a bit of happiness if that's ok.

Tonight was my parents 50th wedding anniversary. I know many here are jaded to the whole marriage thing but I've learned a ton from my parents. They weren't and still aren't perfect. We were never rich but we got by. I still cash my $10 checks for my birthday. But that's just the values that were instilled in me.

My siblings and I still fight. Hell, my parents still fight. But looking around tonight at the table of 27 (parents, kids, spouses, grandchildren), there's a solid legacy that they are/will leave behind. 50 years is a long time. They just spent 2 weeks in Italy. Alone. Together. I want to punch my wife if we have 5 minutes without the kids.

Sorry, I'm probably just waxing poetic but I love my parents. Real love still exists. Don't get me wrong, there were (and actually still are) bad days. But good people are still out there that take it one day at a time.

Here's you you, Mike and Ruth. I'm not a great man, but I am who I am because of you.

Sounds pretty faggy.

Your mom would like to see a guy with 17 foul balls.

Valid points, but again it begs the question, why even buy a ticket to begin with then?

Awesome

I made chicken salad sandwiches for dinner last night.  Maiden voyage with that delicious goodness.  My life is now trending up.
What did you put in the chicken salad?

My go-to is sun-dried tomatoes, garlic powder, finely minced shallot, chives, and cashews.  Mix it up between blending the chicken smooth and having it diced small pieces.  Love that stuff.

ETA:  also cutting the mayo with some sour cream.

More first world problems:  picked up my kid from the yacht and the guy asks if I can meet him later today because he needs someone to drive his other boat out to meet him.  "I have too many boats."
