I'm not sure exactly how you feel about marijuana use in general, but maybe have her read an article like this. You can tell her that she is free to make decisions on her own as an adult and acknowledge that there has been an overreaction to it's use in the past and that you will love and respect her regardless, but that the scientific evidence is pretty strong that using it regularly as a teen can have long-term negative consequences for brain development. Waiting until she is older is extremely beneficial to her long-term.she's learning how to drive, i took that away. I told her no more after school hanging out she has to join a club or do a sport or come straight home. we'll see how this goes.
In my entire teaching career, going back to just before The Great War, I've had one day off due to something weather related.mr. furley said:hey, lady that doesn't have kids... it has been raining since 3 PM yesterday. that rain froze overnight. my driveway was an ice rink. the streets were barely better.
that's the 3rd time i've heard you say to someone else "you know how teachers are these days... anything for a day off!"

Oh and tell that cooze to shut her ####-holster before I shove an entire 64 pack of crayons up her 5-hole.mr. furley said:hey, lady that doesn't have kids... it has been raining since 3 PM yesterday. that rain froze overnight. my driveway was an ice rink. the streets were barely better.

well, that was your first mistaketold her that I'll always love her no matter what she does, ever.
Sounds like you're doing a great job.i told her that, almost to a tee.
i said look kid, as long as you live here and I pay for everything, i'm responsible for you... don't do it. When you get older and move out and pay for all your own stuff, you can do whatever you want.
"doing drugs at a young age is bad for your brain, let alone the addiction issues within our entire extended families on both sides. I warned you when you were eleven not to make the "big" mistakes like getting in a horrible accident, getting pregnant early, getting into drugs etc... and you're on the verge of making a big mistake."
she was crying and kept apologizing, I told her i know your sorry and I appreciate that. I just don't trust you right now and you'll have to prove that I can.
then she asked if I was going to be mad at her every time I saw her afterwards. At that point I reminded her of the parable of the prodigol son and told her that I'll always love her no matter what she does, ever.

I just drove across the city and it's basically like rain.Well, after a very snowy winter last year which saw schools cancel 11 days, we are finally getting our first snowfall that caused all schools here to get out early. Even though it's like a balmy 37 degrees and the flakes are sticking to the ground like I stick to healthy habits. But sure, let's all FREAK OUT and start using umbrellas in the snow.
Yep. Basement is tile and where I'm getting water isn't cluttered so that's good. Furniture is safe too, so its not as bad as it could be. Rain's still coming though. My guess is that the tile's probably done for, but shouldn't lose anything else. Outside of my sanity that is.taking on water?
yes it doesUser name fits.
how's the grade around your house?Yep. Basement is tile and where I'm getting water isn't cluttered so that's good. Furniture is safe too, so its not as bad as it could be. i dont think the heavy stuff is gonna come down for quite some time ...Forecast says it should only rain for another 11 hours or so. So I've got that going for me.
I use this all the time around my kids who have yet to see the movie. They are going to realize how funny I am for quoting it some day.i dont think the heavy stuff is gonna come down for quite some time ...

Ceramic tile? Why wouldn't it survive water?Yep. Basement is tile and where I'm getting water isn't cluttered so that's good. Furniture is safe too, so its not as bad as it could be. Did Biff Barf get fired? "I call them the way I see them, and if i don't, I make them up."High of 56 today. Currently 51. Low tonight of 33. Now to over Chuck Steak with sports.
Can't wait for all the closed roads on the way home due to flooding. Road to our office was already flooded over this morning. Hopefully my basement stays dry, sump would fill back up in 3 seconds this morning.65 in Chicago area, almost 2 feet of snow freshly melted into the ground and now it been raining for what seems like a fortnight. Couple of imperfect spots around the support beams and the bar. I could see it being a problemCeramic tile? Why wouldn't it survive water?
Latest info is that he had a .22 rifle (not sure how he managed to hide it while riding the bus) and "distractionary devices) in his backpack. Sure seems like a disaster was averted through sheer luck.GroveDiesel said:Ugh. Shooting at the school where two of my best friends' daughters go to and where one's wife works. So far, only hard info is that a student shot himself.
But with reports that the FBI was investigating a threat in the county, there's a decent chance the kid was planning on killing other students but accidentally shot himself first.
