GM's Thread About Everything/GM's Thread About Nothing (6 Viewers)

Wait....which #######s drove away which people? My active periods in here are sort of sporadic. My notebook has a blank page on this, apparently. Did something go down a couple months ago while I was tomcatting elsewhere? I thought we were all pretty much #######s of one sort of another. Was someone an extra special #######?

(I'm a little buzzed. You can probably ignore me. I just wanted to see if I was the ####### in question.)

Great. ####### UHaul ####### lost my reservation for a truck. There are no more trucks. In Chicagoland apparently. #### #### ####.
Wow, that sucks
Well Penske has trucks. But they are like twice as much. I'm definitely gonna charge uhaul for the difference.True story the issue UHaul is having in IL? More one way moves are going out of state than coming in state so there's a major shortage of trucks.
Yeah IL sucks donkey dong. If it weren't for the crappy schools in FL we'd be gone by now.
One of these days we'll grow some sack and split those 2 ####ers into like 50 states or some ####.

It really is terrible. I often think it is the worst, but then I remember that Ohio exists.

GM, any thoughts on BREW?
Meh....not a fan of Widmer or Red Hook offerings. In fact, I'd put Drop Top Amber on my top 5 least favorite popular craft beers. Their brewpub in Portland is awful. But, no denying their sales and popularity. Redhook ESB is passable; at least they don't price gouge. Kona is horrendous. There might be a gluten free option in there too and #### that in general... I lump gluten free idiots up there with anti vaccine morons.

But they sell the #### out of beer...mjust think the market is too saturated and Busch et al will cannibalize them (see 10 Barrell...a great beer)

Went to the 10 Barrel pub in Bend a couple of years ago. Tried the Swill. Interesting.

Hey GB, how's life with the twins?

How are the other kids handling the transition? Especially Hazel. I'm sure that this is quite the change for her.

DaR, what time of year are you thinking for your East Coast trip?
next month
The Outer Banks is the big destination, of course. Problem there (like many of the East Coast beach destinations) is that there are no major airports close by, so you'll either have to rent a car and drive a few hours or take a puddle jumper to get closer. One other potential problem is finding what you want on short notice.

Virginia Beach is a good family destination, too, as is Ocean City, MD. But both are reaily busy this time of year.

What kind of stuff are you guys wanting to do? Do you like the more commercialized places with tons of things to do or a more relaxed place to chill?

If you are in the Raleigh area the easiest is Emerald Isle area...40 straight down...From Charlotte probably a little farther south (north myrtle). Anything farther south than north myrtle is a trek from NC.

Really depends where you are starting from and how much activities you want.

Getting to the Outer Banks from Raliegh is a trek.

I have my 30 year reunion tomorrow. Grade school reunion. I'm still GB's with some of the guys but I haven't seen any of the chicks in years. To make it even more awkward it's at this gal's house with a pool.
Dive into the shallow end FTW

Was supposed to be in Boston for Foo fighters this weekend. Instead we'll be in Boston next weekend for non foo fighters.

No cornhole time though KTHXBYE
