My parents have taken a few alaskan cruises, make sure if you get an outside cabin that it is on the correct side of the cruise ship. You don't want to pay extra to see the ocean the entire time.
 the ships don't come back?
Almost all of those I've looked at don't. You fly one way.
Huh. Weird.
Not really - half the people cruise to Alaska and fly back, half fly to Alaska and cruise back. Twice as many people paying for a cruise, and probably easier to sell out 2 cruises for $X than 1 cruise for $2X

We departed Seattle and came back to Seattle. But this was a behemoth boat and I think K4 is eschewing that concept.

Also, I think the routes are a bit different too; like I think the route up north to Juneau (our first stop) was in deeper water with nothing but ocean views. Route back was closer to land so you could see stuff like bears with hair and sharks. But that was 2002 and I don't remember what I had for lunch, so, you know...

Wife just attacked me and did things to me that are illegal in several states after I finished working on her car. Then told me just just had to attack me when she saw my undershirt stained with grease and blood from the battle with the engine. Reminded her of a young me.

I didn't have the heart to tell her the shirt was stained with chocolate and jelly from my celebratory donut. :(
My wife has now twice (after the day it happened) mentioned this shirt while seducing me. I'm beginning to feel like a fraud.
Beginning?
That's not very nice.

Close! It was my mom's leftover chili, which she decided to spruce up with some pumpkin.

Yup. Not sure if pumpkin spice or pumpkin chunks, but that was her secret ingredient. It's like an episode of Iron Chef where they are forced to use cat spunk.

Was this a real episode? Link?

My wife made chili today. She told me there is a secret ingredient. I am now terrified it's pumpkin.

Don't ask, but I went down a Youtube vortex just now that brought me here. Oh boy...NOT SAFE FOR WORK. But later today, if you're bored, you might enjoy this.

Subject matter: Ask a Pron Star "What Was Your Grossest Onset Experience". No nudity, it's Youtube, but watch/listen alone.

Lots of info here to digest from folks. Thanks for the posts from all, especially GM's. It's good to see Aaron's post of how he did AK without the cruise, too. If it were just the two of us, I would do that, and it might be that I'm just being lazy, but it feels like this particular trip would work better in terms of the septuagenarians if we cruised. A big factor there is also that we will all have a menu of things to do and we will not all have to do the same things all the time nor will I have to be in charge of everything all the time. Also I do think the ships can get to places on the Inside Passage that you can't get to in a day trip.

As for some of the cons on GM's post, I'm only looking at cruises where the booze is included (so long as you don't require the super-premium stuff, which is extra) and would definitely be getting outside rooms with verandahs/balconies. I'm not looking at ships big enough to have a casino. The tipping part will suck as will the seeing the same groups of people, especially if obnoxious.

All good food for thought--thanks.
Speaking of all that good food, remember to pack some of your fat clothes.

That's not all that unusual. I've had it happen twice. I do understand, with everything else that's happened, that it feels like this sale is jinxed. Good luck.

From my cousin's FB:

"Last night I lost a good friend and beloved pet. You brought much amusement to my life. Thank you for those two too short years. RIP [some anime characters name]."

This was from a ~20 year old guy posting about his ####### fish.

I'd ask you to show some compassion, but that would be rude of me to impose such a request upon a soulless ginger.

Not user how people can enjoy professional porn. Might as well just watch a Hobbit movie.
Sure, but you have to get the Director's Cut to watch Sam and Frodo go at it with a double-headed Bilbo.
