Probably super old, but saw on Twitter today, "The last text you sent is your Presidential Campaign Slogan...GO."  Some pretty good ones.  Mine seemed appropriate, at least for me:

"I'm not trying to change anything this year.  Maybe for future consideration!!"

Action Bronson also stars in "f-ck, thats delicious" on viceland. Viceland has some interesting programming outside of the stoner stuff... black market dispatches, hosted by Omar from the wire does some amazing and mostly subjective documenting of illegal situations and the people in them. Recommend.

revenue down, ever evolving menu in an attempt to drum up sales, Chipotle e coli (i think that's what it turned out to be) scare, execs fleeing

been stagnant for a while and now on the downturn from what i understand

get your money out of McDonald's and in to Rally's
You had until Rally's.

So, having my first actual face-to-face job interview in over a decade later this week.  Every gig I've had the past 12-15 years has been a referral where I was pretty much "pre-hired" or something with a phone interview since it was remote.  Nuthuggers and a stained wife-beater still apropos interview attire, right? (It IS Florida, after all)

Around here they become either Mexican places or other burger joints.
Does anythng worth eating ever actually start as a Mexican place?

The two best places around here were a Bonanza and either a mom and pop store or a liquor store (or both).

Our local Mexican Frisch's closed though, maybe because nobody ever learned the actual name of the restaurant.

Gl!

Reminds me that none of the three people I reached out to replied, and I never followed up. Sorry! Ill send out some followups this week.

My former manager called me again today, to tell me about a job opening she had stumbled across that would be perfect for me. :oldunsure:

Spirit week at Dylan's school, today was pajama day.  So he wore pajamas. And a robe.  My Mom's robe. My Mom's pink robe.

In related news, girls keep showing up at the house with money.  He says he doesn't know why they are bringing him money.

Funniest thing I read today

My brother worked at a haunted jail in my town. He said it was all going well until like an hour before it ended. Nobody was showing up and he had to take a leak. So he decides to piss in the corner. As he unzips and starts, he hears talking and commotion. Of course, he couldn't stop. So by the time that large group of people reached he cell and looked in expecting a scare, they saw a wolf man pissing in the corner. And he says, the only thing he did was turn his head and growl at them while pissing.

This "can't sleep" stuff is for the birds.  I have to be at the airport in 5.5 hours and I'm wide awake.
drinking wreaks havoc on the sleep cycle. people think that drinking makes you sleep soundly but it's the exact opposite.

my old man was a profound alcoholic. would brag about how little sleep he got at night as if it were some badge of honor. didn't acknowledge that it was because of the beer until after he had a massive grabber and his doctors told him he'd die if he kept up the drinking/not sleeping cycle.

food for thought

I'm sure that's true. I haven't been drinking as much in recent months. Not to say that I couldn't cut back for better sleep and I'm sure that's part of it.   But it's just part of it.

car upholstery guys:   what the #### do i do about water staining my car seats? my car looks like someone dumped a bar ashtray full of tobacco and beer all over the seats. and it's just from random things like setting a sweaty bottle of water/juice/milk on the seats... or sitting down on the seat with swim shorts before realizing that water would utterly ruin the color.

forget my kids climbing on them with wet shoes, etc.

i've tried Resolve upholstery cleaner, which was recommended by Hyundai guy.... and that just left a big stain.

Don't do any of the bolded?

Seriously, if it's as bad as you say there may not be any "saving" it.  Water damage is a #####.
