Late to the party but Spartans have no shot...Coach K totally owns IZZO in H2H Matchups

If you want to get creative go Duke over Kentucky or Wisconsin

RIP Bailey. It was finally her time. Absolutely devastated. Can't believe she'll never greet me at the door again. Sweetest dog I ever knew. Even the vets and vet techs always told us how much they loved her and a couple even cried when we had her put to sleep tonight.

3 hours at the doctor's office today doing all sorts of eye squinting at images on a flat screen, pretending to understand what the doctors were telling us. Finally, a third doctor came in, flipped on the lights and said, "Well, that VSD we were concerned about looks to have closed up on its own. At this point, I see no reason to schedule any follow up here and everything else looks not only normal, but great."

Great to hear, man.

Lots of little things suck right now, like coming home and seeing her pill organizer on the counter and choking up as I emptied it into the trash. Or telling my wife goodnight as I headed up to bed and for a split second my brain expecting to see the dog curled up next to her on the couch.

But lots of great memories to thing about and remember as well. Such an unbelievable amount of selfless love from her. And remembering moments like when my mom had a basket of giant carrots from her garden on their back closed in porch. And Bailey grabbing about a dozen of them and sneaking them into her crate. Or finding the tooth on the porch from tryng to eat one of the carrots with her mouth full of awful teeth. Or the time when we first got her and locked her in the laundry room while we were at work, and this little runt of a Boston terrier managed to rip down the moulding from all 3 sides of the door as well as shred a cardboard box into confetti. Or how we decided that chewing rawhide was too dangerous for her so we took it away. And then proceeded to catch her with about 8 more pieces over the next few months that she had hidden all over the house. I'll miss that little neurotic dog being so afraid of walking on hard floors that she would walk backwards across our tile kitchen or across the hardwood n my parents' house. Heck, the first time she tried to figure out how to get down the step from the kitchen to the family room at my parents' house she eventually just laid down and rolled down the step. Stupid dog.

Such a unique dog. So strong willed and overcame a ton of physical problems and abuse from early in her life. And yet she was the most gentle and loving dog. The Bailey-shaped hole in my heart right now definitely hurts.

Sorry to hear, GB. Going to go hug my boys in her honor.

Man, sorry to hear GB. My oldest is 14.5 and is dealing with a bad ear infection and a bad tooth at the same time. We are treating the ear first and then we can start the meds for the tooth. She is too old to have it pulled.

:( I'm so sorry to hear this. What a beautiful dog. If she even affected the people at the vet, it's pretty clear how sweet and wonderful she was. Best wishes.

I started taking Zetia though in January to try and bring the number down. I'm due for more blood work next month so I guess we'll see. My Dad tells me not to worry about it because it's strictly hereditary and nobody in the family has ever had a heart attack.

Wow, I don't know that I've ever seen that much good vs. bad cholesterol. I don't have any of either, I get deducted in our heath plan because I don't have enough good tho, doesn't make sense.

So sorry to hear GD. There are many here that know how hard things are for you right now. Hang in there. :(
It really is unreal how much garbage we've dealt with over the last year plus.

I haven't even mentioned that we found out 2 weeks ago that my wife's MS has been progressing into the areas of her brain that deal with memory and cognitive function. Very real chance that she'll be taking a disability retirement from her job soon. Or that a month after I was made one of 5 elders in our elder lead church, the church is dealing with a huge crisis.

It's ridiculous. Literally every area of our life has been hit hard over the last year.

On a plus side, we got an awesome email from my daughter's teachers last week that she is doing great. Her behavior has taken a total 180 for the good and she's starting to make some nice progress academically. She's also starting tball and is really pumped about that. So some nice wins for her which is a huge win for us.

How do you have almost no cholesterol at all? Have you never had a pizza? That's amazingly low.

 I sometimes eat pizza twice a day. I have to take medication for high blood pressure so maybe that makes up for it. I'm 5-10 pounds overweight (needed to get into acceptable BMI range).
