Anyone have a line on where I could get some bourbon from the Pappy/Van Winkle line?

My bourbon swilling neighbor just had a lumpectomy and is headed to chemo. She's getting inundated with pink ribbons and lasagna.

I wanted to get her something she would really like. Except the local ABC store said they have a list of 200+ and last year they only got 3 (I assume he was speaking of the top of the line "Pappy" - any in the whole line would be fine.)

Oh, hey guster. Didn't see you there.
Do you need recos on a bourbon that's more in your price range?Pappy is good stuff, but not worth what it goes for on the secondary market. So many great options out there these days
Seems to be the popular opinion that I do, in fact, need recos on a bourbon in my price range.
In that price range you're probably better off getting multiple good bottles around $50 vs buying an orphan Barrel (lost prophet, forged oak, etc) for the full $100-150.

I'd recommend stuff like Maker's Mark Cask Strength, Blanton's, Booker's, Noah's Mill, Rowan's Creek, etc
Just Cosby her IMO.

Wife had an hour long conference call today. There were about 10 people on the call.

Most of them were just managers like her but it was "facilitated" by an area director and his assistant..we'll call him Chad.

At the end the AD says "that's all I got, Chad? Do you have anything final to say?"

Chad says "no, I think we covered it all". And then for the next 5 minutes Chad recapped the entire ####ing conference call. :lmao:

I'm guessing it is the same if it is business or education or politics or whatever but what is it about meetings that compels people to feel the need to just ramble on? Self importance? Insecurity? Justification?
I hate Chad. He's the guy that makes meetings longer. Hate. Chad.
Older 6th grade teachers are the worst when it comes to this.

Anytime we get a new teacher in our dept or I'm asked to mentor someone one of the first things I tell them is "DON'T ask questions in meetings unless it is absolutely necessary. If you have a question it can probably wait. Ask me later on."

See, I love Chad as he makes it so I don't have to pay attention the first 55 minutes of the meeting.
Meeting person "Blah blah blah Lambskin? Hey Lambskin?"

Me: "oh sorry I was browsing FBG...can you repeat that?"

That happens to me in one on one conversations with Idiot Boss.

Make her stare at your dumb sweater while you try to sell her Jell-O?

No, drug her drink. It's all over the news.

Oh, I don't have a TV.

Don't listen to her being interviewed on radio (links in the article). It just keeps getting worse. Good for her parents not co-signing a loan for her.

She will get fat, not give blow jobs, get divorced and feel entitled to more than half his money ...that she hasn't already spent.

I have my 30 year reunion tomorrow. Grade school reunion. I'm still GB's with some of the guys but I haven't seen any of the chicks in years. To make it even more awkward it's at this gal's house with a pool.

Off her roof.

What could go wrong?
