I tell you what. Costco will happily take the return if you are unsatisfied with the roomba. How about them apples?

Interesting. This part is wild:

But Costco spokesman Bob Nelson said Monday that Citi was expected to buy AmEx's portfolio of Costco accounts outright, meaning cardholders would simply receive new Visa cards, issued by Citibank, to replace the AmEx cards when the switch occurs in a year.

Members can pay with any AmEx card, not just Costco's, and after the change will be able to pay with any Visa card. But they otherwise are limited to cash, checks or debit cards — an indication of the power wielded by Costco, which has 50 million members worldwide.

I bought the 595 when Amazon did it's little deal a few months back. We like it a lot. The area it cleans is a mix of tile and hardwood with an area rug. We have 2 cats and 2 dogs so it really helps keep the hair down. Tough to judge what percentage is rug piling and what is hair, but it just about fills up its bin every day.As far as downsides: The bin is pretty small so you have to empty daily. It's not exactly quiet (it's a vacuum after all) so depending on how far away the cleaning area is from the sleeping area, you won't want it running at night. It will get hung on wires occasionally. It will get stuck in your furniture if the height is just right.

While it may look like I'm bashing it, those downsides are all pretty minor and it runs just fine most of the time. Even if it gets hung up one day, you know it's going to hit that area the next so it's no big deal.

Would buy again.

 
Actually true: Edwin M. Costco, CEO of Costco, saw one of those infernal Amex commercials on his television bank (he actually lives in a house that was built exactly like a Costco, including the TV display near the front door), where the chirpy broad with the dumb back tattoo "explores" Iceland for what seems like 10 hours, even though she apparently didn't know how Reykjavik was spelled, and got so pissed that he told them to pound sand.

What do these cost? How do they do with PlayDoo? God, I hate that vile stuff with a passion. I hope the creators of PlayDoo have to spend their afterlife picking up little dried clumps of their concoction for all eternity.

$379 now but I paid $250 so if you wait it out I'm sure it will go on sale again. I cannot help you with your PlayDoo situation. If they're in dried little clumps I imagine it will do just fine. My fat dachshund is always trying to crack it open because there's invariably a piece of kibble or two that got sucked up.

 
You know those giant teddy bears they have at Costco, as well as other places? I do the gag with my kids where I pretend like one of those bears kicks the #### out of me in the store. They eat that #### up.

Also a big fan of climbing up on top of the car and sticking my head in through the sunroof.

Any standard kids' song, Wheels on the Bus, Twinkle Twinkle Little Star, sing that and replace the last words in every line with fart noises. I get Attell-ian laughs when I do this.

 
Oversaw 15 coaches tackling U6 soccer couple weeks back for their first practice. One giant field, split by 15. Organized chaos. Most coaches did fine, but one nevous Nellie was struggling. He was trying to run a drill like an Army sgt and had kids disinterested, quitting, he was frustrated.

I stepped in and organized a quick game of "OUCH", which basically gives all kids a ball and a chance to kick it right at me like a game of Astroids. I yell "OUCH" when hit, fall to the ground, jump like a lunatic, roll around. Kids loved it. Looked at the coach and said "there you go....make 'em laugh". Kids are so dumb.

Took the family + MIL to the apple orchard today

They also have a winery so we had the kids sit in the car with grandma while we (the wife) did a wine tasting

Of course she wanted a few bottles and of course we get caught behind 5 twats trying to all buy a bottle or two of wine but wanting the 15% case discount and then insisting on paying their share all with a credit card. Excruciating. I was ready to just slap my cash on the table and walk out but a few were kind of hot so i waited it out

 
A buddy of mine knew Amanda E. Costco in college (distant cousin...one of the Stockton Costcos). Said she was a total slut. Smelled like $1.99 pizza slices but you never saw black guys in her.

 
I told my son today that since it's a full moon at midnight all the frogs on our windows (we get a lot of frogs on our windows) would grow into huge frogmen and go hunting for food. I didn't tell him what they eat, but I think he got it.
