That is an AWESOME story.
Not going to argue.![]()
Probably legal to reach out. Interestingly, not okay for a lawyer to do that.Did you know there are health care providers that scan public police records for accident victims?
I was in an accident last week. Stopped at an intersection and a truck slammed into the driver's side of my car, causing the side airbags to deploy. I was taken by ambulance to the ER, but it ended up only being a minor concussion with some neck pain.
I'm not sure what triggered it, but within the last hour I have had two calls to my cell phone from these phony medical referral "services".
First one was the "Injury Referral Group". Basically telling me all my medical care would be covered by the other person's insurance, etc. She said I could go to any doctor, but she had one provider that would do direct billing to other insurance so I would not have to worry about it. It is a chiropractor all the way on the other side of town. I asked if there were any other options and she said no. She was basically begging me to make an appointment. Saying they would do all kinds of extensive tests just to make sure I'm ok.
About 30 minutes later I get another from "Accident Referral Service". Started out with similar spiel, but after I told her I was feeling ok now, she ended the call quickly.
Is this #### legal? I'd expect this from law firms, but it seems these were representing specific health providers.
Well, I did put you above pond scum, after all.Probably legal to reach out. Interestingly, not okay for a lawyer to do that.

BumpWhen you hit reply and you see an old quote box with something you'd started to quote in a previous session, click on the bar at the top the quote box. That "selects" the whole rectangle of the quote, and you should see a little square button to move the quote (a box with arrows in a t shape pointing outward, left right up and down). Now hit the backspace/delete button.

In response, he stammered, lowered his head for a few seconds before raising it again, eyes red with tears, and said: "Going out to eat." He then shook his head and lowered it again.
You do realize saying, "Pardon my French" before you drop F bombs isn't actually the same as speaking French.General Malaise said:Son of a gun went back to Mexico to chase his lady. But, the good news is his son was able to join the Mexican Armed Services - I think the Navy. My buddy is back in Portland, so I'll get clarity.
Am I too old to join the Coast Guard? I like to cook and speak a little French, if that helps.
A future shukie:

at that responseGot calls from 3 more ambulance chasing "doctors" today. One place called me three times without leaving a message. I called them back and strung them on a little, but she got angry with my because I was asking for the doctor's name, which she would not give me until I made an appointment. She finally gave it to me and then hung up on me after I asked her to spell it.

Today, on my iPad, it only takes up about 2/3rds of the screen. NeatOne more upgrade, and this board becomes completely unusable.
Tell the next one that due to your significantly impaired cognitive abilities, your medical guardian is the one making decisions about your health and that they need to call and talk to Steve. Then give them the phone number of one of the other places that have already called you. Or Donald Trump's campaign office.Got calls from 3 more ambulance chasing "doctors" today. Seems rude.Obama's not going to Nancy Reagan's funeral. He's going to SXSW instead.
Did you hear that? That was the sound of millions of conservative heads exploding at once.
I've got to admit, this one really upset me at the time.President Ronald Reagan did not attend Bess Truman's funeral.
What, kind of like it is ALL THE TIME on the desktop version? Literally 3 inches of blank gray space on each side of my monitor now.Did that to me last night.
1982 message boards consisted of guys writing and responding to each other on bathroom walls. Those were the halcyon days.I've got to admit, this one really upset me at the time.
There was simply no end to the man's villainy.President Ronald Reagan did not attend Bess Truman's funeral.
Me too. I remember thinking "If only John Hinkley had packed a .44 magnum or H&K MP7..."I've got to admit, this one really upset me at the time.

He sent Sally Hemings.Tanner, did Jefferson attend Martha Washington's funeral?
NONE OF THEM ATTENDED MARTHA WASHINGTON'S FUNERAL, WHERE WAS THE OUTRAGE THEN?Facebook has already alerted me to the horror of Obama missing this funeral. His wife will be there, but let's continue with the outrage because it feels better. Also, this:
Fun facts: President George Bush Sr did not attend First Lady Pat Nixon's funeral.
President George W Bush did not attend Ladybird Johnson's funeral.
President Ronald Reagan did not attend Bess Truman's funeral.
Tanner, did Jefferson attend Martha Washington's funeral?
