Lots of good jobs and robust housing market in Minneapolis/St Paul. Assuming of course that you can handle mediocre pro sports and hipsters with lumberjack beards f'ing everywhere.

 
Just took my boss' new Tesla for a spin.  Got up to the first red light, was first in line.  He told me to give it a punch and see how it felt.  So punch it I did the second the light turned green....jesus!  Got up to the speed limit (45) in no time flat.  However, if you take your foot off the accelerator, the car doesn't keep cruising along; it slows down quickly.  That takes some getting used to.  But damn, this is a fine fine automobile you've made, Elon Musk.

Minnesota is probably a place I'd have to get paid $1,000,000 dollars to live.  Only thing between there and the North Pole blocking the wind are a couple random reindeer and maybe a few Oilers fans.

Sorry 5-ish.  Having to move usually sucks unless its someplace where you wanted to be anyway.  

Are you using any kind of placement firm?

I've got a couple recruitment places keeping eyes out, yeah.  No luck yet though the past month and a half.  Contemplating moving to where we'd at least have more of a support system available.  Wife and I both want to wind up in Seattle, if everything else were equal, but our friends who lived there(and could have provide a landing spot/etc) moved about a year ago to help take care of a sick family member back East.  

Keeping options open, but time is an issue as well since we have a lease running out here soon.  So, a decision to punt or put down stakes for at least 6-12 more months here needs to be made.  The wife is pretty much a mess....again.

I will never, ever understand why people who decide to ink their freaking flesh for life don't go to REAL tattoo artists. 

There are great ones out there.  Many of them.  You don't have to settle for the $25 dollar/per shoulder, "Hey-I-used-to-draw-Snoopy-and-the-Rolling-Stones-logo-on-my-notebooks-as-a-kid-so-I-got-some-india-ink-and-toothpaste-and-a-needle", working in an abandoned barn types.

Cancun itself sucks now. Or, at least it does for me. But it's an easy airport to fly into if you wanna go south to the Riviera Maya, Playa Del Carmen, and points south. I can get there out of Dulles in 3 hours. Been to that part of Mexico a ton.

 
I think I'm losing my mind. Besides promising Glorious Boobs I'd take her to Belize, I just filled out an application to join the local Moose Lodge.
