I've gotten to a point in life that all football pretty much sucks and this includes soccer. 

 
Back to school night last night.

Got an email from a mom about an hour ago.  She just realized she went to another history teacher's class instead of mine.  Yeah, he's in room 23 and I'm in 25 but he's spanished with a spanished last name.  I am not.

Pretty sure I mentioned this in GMTAN 1.0 but my 19 year old aunt was murdered back in 1981 (thanks Posty). The 78 year old jackass (who injured 3 others including his wife and stepdaugher and her fiancee who was shot in the head and lived) is up for parole tomorrow again and quite a few of my extented family is heading to Ohio to meet with the parole board. Pretty sure he was given 20 to life so we're hoping for the latter since it's now up to 35. Wish @Homer J Simpson was around to send a couple of hard pipe hittin...people...to go to work on the homes.

No TPW needed, honestly save it. I just wanted to vent a bit. Also hoping something our family has been stewing about for the past few months buys us another 5 years so the ######## can die behind bars. Can a 78 year old man really hurt us again? Probably not but he took one life and severely damaged another. Rot in ####### jail and die already

Seems like that could have gone either way. I mean, the only foolproof way to make sure the lawyer can't sue you is for the lawyer not to make it...

Go to Spoon and Stable bar for upscale hipster. Go to Bulldogs in Northeast for awesome ####### hamburgers. Go to Surly taproom (east bank near UofM) for a remarkable building, awesome food (have to get the Pork Frites - loaded french fries with pulled pork and hot peppers and cheese curds). 

Nicolette Ave is called Eat Street - tons of good stuff there.

Just enjoying a cold drink out of my 30 oz Yeti Rambler while my wife sips something out of her 20 oz Yeti Rambler. Probably take the kids to the pool this weekend and put some drinks and a couple sandwiches in the Yeti Hopper cooler.

These are good suggestions.  State Fair is going on right now too.  Definitelyl worth checking out.

Hate trying to link pics from FB.  One of our dachshunds ran into an old rusty piece of wire fence or something in the yard today and impaled himself.  Luckily it hit his sternum and deflected between it and the skin (rather than hitting heart/lung).  He's a little doped up but should be OK with some antibiotics.

Shared the 2nd pic to the GMTAN group.  Bottom of it shows the wire they pulled out of him.

I hear you bro. I canceled the Ticket this year. Have not read a single football article. I just don;t ####### care anymore.

Looking forward to having my next 25 Sundays/Mondays/Thursdays/Saturdays open.

No more fantasy leagues, no more gambling, no more season tickets. I've removed myself from all vested interest and couldn't be happier. It simply isn't the game I grew up with, its run by terrible people and a lot of the players are even worse. The facade of the league caring about player safety, and not their liability, also rubs me the wrong way.

If its on, I'll casually watch it at a friend's house or at the bar. Put it on at home, by myself? Just doesn't happen anymore. There are better things on t,  better places to go, better things to waste my money on.

 
I hear a lot of what y'all are saying, but I still love to love my team. No fantasy, no gambling, no giving my weekends up to sitting in front of the TV instead of playing with the kids. But, I still love the Cowboys. Just watching them play and enjoying the game in the moment.

I think I'll still do/enjoy this. But it still frees up  about 62 hours for me every Sat/Sun/Mon/Thur for the next 25 weeks
