My sons name is Sam.  He is kind of a drag know but will be a lot cooler when he gets out of the hospital.

Last night he was really worried about the scopes they were going to perform so we talked thru his concerns.  Concern #1  What if they do the colonoscopy first and then do the endoscopy with the same scope.    I told him it would be ok because they would give him mouthwash afterwards. :D   Sometimes I think I am a real crappy Dad.

But anyway: I'm renting a car.  Got a brand new ford sedan-ish kind of thing.  And I've been driving for a while, and go to fill up because my tank is about empty.  And the gas nozzle DOESN'T FIT IN THE TANK.  WTMF?

I check the owners manual, and apparently this car is made for a new fangled type of fuel called "E-85."  Some kind of Ethanol hybrid.  So I can only go to a special gas station that carries E-85 gas.  And there only 5 in the state.

For emergencies, you CAN use regular gas, they just don't like it.  Whoever they are.  There is a special funnel that you can use to pump with a regular nozzle.  The special funnel is supposed to be in the trunk, but of course it was missing.  And of course, the people at the rental counter TOLD ME NONE OF THIS when I rented the car.

So I had to google the closest gas station that carried E-85 and pray that I made it there. I felt like John Goodman at the bowling alley when Donnie's foot slipped over the line.  "HAS THE WHOLE WORLD GONE CRAZY?  DOES NOBODY CARE ABOUT THE RULES ANYMORE??"

I've rented a few cars that say "E85 only" on the gas cap.  They've all gotten 87.

 
My wife's impala is a flex fuel, meaning it takes E85. I was psyched because around here, regular gas is about $1:90, while E85 is under a buck fifty. I was grooving on the low gas prices, but the fuel warning light Kelly coming on after 250 miles. Used to go well past 320. Turns out all the money I Dave I give up in mileage. All I do is marginally help the environment. :kicksrock:

However, E85 produces 27 percent less energy per gallon than gasoline, so on average it ends up costing more. For example, the flex-fuel 2010 Chevrolet Impala equipped with a 3.5-liter V-6 engine gets an EPA-estimated 18/29 mpg (city/highway) on gasoline and 14/21 mpg when burning E85.Aug 31, 2012

 
Tye wife has  a 2014 LX with 300 hp, so our numbers are smaller, but yeah, we don't save any money we just stop to fill up more often. I looked up how much lower emissions are, .03%. don't think week be getting any carbon offsets.

You're also burning food to power your car that could be used to feed starving people in Africa.

i've always heard that you should ignore a pest/stalker

or at least let it die down in hopes they get the message that you're not interested

what i didn't think was.. if you ever respond.. in even the most roundabout way months later that the intensity would multiply instantly.

short of burning technology and changing my identity, looks like i'm stuck with this one for a while.

No, no she didn't.  Nobody wanted me.  I weighed all of 130 pounds, swam in a Speedo and drove a Chevy Citation in a town where kids were getting new BMWs when they turned 16.  As an added bonus, my parents waited until I was 15 to fit me for metal braces and at 16, I needed glasses.  Oh, and puberty?  Held off until I was 17 or so.  Still enjoyed it when Laura called me Nesbutt.  Beat the ignore button employed by every other hot girl at Highland Park.
