I think I found something we can all agree on:  fat, balding Pete Rose, wearing a bow tie and a shirt with the words "Hit King" stitched onto the collar of his shirt with red thread is the saddest thing I've ever seen on TV.
If by "saddest" you mean "most awesomest", then I totally agree.

Western Washington looking at historic storms this weekend.   Going to be a mess.
Yeah, already been advised that all soccer games could be washed out which never happens here.  Today it's glorious out.  Hard to believe that's all about the change in a hurry.  Stay safe and by safe, I mean with your 22 year old lover.

it's my weekend with roverkid, so probably looking more like surly preteen upset that there's no internet when the power goes down.  I have a generator if the power goes out for an extended period of time.

get some 22 year old time tonight, but not again until next week.   every time in between seeing her I assume she's going to come to her senses and bail out on me.

Loading up on mre's, water, propane, and oxy in anticipation of the massive "winter storm 2016" aka hurricane Forrest, about to make landfall in Oregon.

I'm assuming this is shtick since you were one of the most vocal advocates against this sort of behavior... or is my notebook wrong? My handwriting IS terrible...

You take that MOP Math right out of here!
My students were doing a worksheet on the Bill of Rights today.  One of the kids said "I can't find the answer to this question: 'how many amendments are there in the Bill of Rights'."

I told him "Ummm...it's in that first section on p. 179.  See it?"

Kid:  "yeah, the one that says 'The 10 Amendments'?"

Me:  "Yep"

Kid:  "So the answer is in that section?"

Me:

Kid:

Me:

Kid:

Me:

Kid: (to his friend) I guess we need to look for it in this section.

Gary Johnson is in your class?

Just the wrong ones, apparently.

And already up and around. Surprisingly, minimal pain for now.  PT is going to suck, though.
Yes it does, generally.  PT for breaking my neck involved a lot of massage by a well endowed cute young thing.

I just came in here to check with you and RL to see if you'd begun doomsday prep.  Seems like you and I would be in more danger based on being closer to the coast, but I'm no Al Roker.

I'm not that comforted by the current headline story in the Seattle Times calling it potentially "murderous."

I have a generator and some gas, so I can plug in my refrigerator if the power is out for an extended period of time.   I'll probably go grocery shopping at some point tomorrow since I'm out of beer.  That's about the extent of my prep.

At least I don't live in a house that has a lot of huge trees surrounding it or one that's made up mostly of windows.

Oh wait, scratch that.  I was thinking of the wrong house.  Nope, I do live in such a house.
