Joined the LBJ Library this week. They sent me tickets to a cocktail reception with Rob Reiner and Woody Harrelson this evening, before an advance screening of their new LBJ film. Traffic will suck with Taylor Swift, Archer and Formula One all going on today. At least the Longhorns are in Kansas.

Oh, man. You have to go to that. Right? That sounds like a blast.

(snickering at your traffic worries)

If you want to make your doctor laugh, apparently you should ask them "why does it smell like a nursing home when I pee?"
How are things going, GB?  (Other than the nursing home pee.)

Just booked our flights and hotel in Chicago next weekend.  Not even sure whether we'll go to a game but need to be there.  Hope it won't be a huge disappointment, but need to be there anyway.

Archer? The cartoon?

My wife loves this stuff.
I laughed to myself as I pictured blues and Dilaudid in such great amounts on the spoon that it would literally be overflowing. Upon entering my vein, the drug would start a warm itch that would surge along until the brain consumed it in a gentle explosion. It began in the back of the neck and rose rapidly until I felt such pleasure that the whole world sympathized and took on a soft, lofty appeal. Everything was grand then. Your worst enemy -- he wasn't so bad. The ants in the grass -- they were just, you know, doin' their thing. Everything took on the rosy hue of unlimited success. You could do no wrong, and as long as it lasted, life was beautiful.

Change of plans.  Forgot the notebook I needed to do work so hanging out at the house and beers and football with friends later.   :excited:

Thank you. This.

Other 3 guys are off buying expensive bourbon and high fiving and all I can think about is we have a LOT of work to do before the meeting in 2 weeks... and then IF this unfolds half of what it looks like it MAY, there's a LOT of work past that.

Dunno I know I'm not usually one to post in here and this ain't intended to be a brag post... I see it as 10% chance of awesome and 90% chance of trainwreck. I know there are a lot of folks here who've walked this path 10x so I was hoping for exactly this post. Thx GB
I was in a situation few weeks ago, waiting out a decision over a couple of days which would have meant over $300k for me personally.  A timber company was signing documents and asked about changing the amount of a loan from $400 million or so to over $2 billion. They decided to keep the loan at the original amount at this time, and we still got enough money to finally get our salaries up above what they were pre-crash, but those couple of days they were deciding were exciting. Good luck with your endeavor.

Since we appear to be doing the what you're having for dinner thing....Steaks (bone in ribeye), salads and baked potatoes. Copious amount of beer.

Last night was pork cheek tamales with mole and a mango salsa.

Tonight is bolognese and pappardelle.

All from scratch.
