he would have been fine had he not adjusted his feet at the last minute.
That's probably not the original donkey either. For as early in my childhood I can remember, our family went to a Christmas Tree farm west of Dayton to cut our own tree. We went every year, and although this place wasn't anything special, just a farm with a barn that had a single donkey and fire in the hearth, this seemed like a big event to me as a child.
I have been taking my own kids there for the past 8 or so years, ever since we moved to Cincinnati and my oldest was old enough to walk.
I learned today that this will be the last year they will be open. I know this is going to sound really really stupid, but I have never felt this sad about the closing of a place of business.
Not stupid at all GB, you have a place that is linked to Christmas memories for as long as you can remember. Not at all to feel sad that you won't be able to continue to revisit those memories and create new ones. Traditions like that are very meaningful and I'm sorry that it will be ending. Is there another place similar that you can go to so it can continue in some semblance? For as early in my childhood I can remember, our family went to a Christmas Tree farm west of Dayton to cut our own tree. Solid, if unsurprising finish. His posing bumps this to a 3/5.

soooo excellent. always freaks me out when someone i remember being born - the bringin-him-home pix were some of the 1st this luddite ever downloaded - does his 1st cool human thing. my youngest's a drummer too - product of years of noisy, irritate-mom presents from absentee dad. fanfrikkintastic!ok... proud dad moment- 9yo floppinho at the bitter end backing a bunch of hs kids (school of rock nyc) on nirvana's love buzz.
Make sure to take some pictures. Find another tree farm next year - though it just won't be the same. For as early in my childhood I can remember, our family went to a Christmas Tree farm west of Dayton to cut our own tree. in music, learnin's for prodigies & weirdos. the band is the greatest human unit, cuz you can actively love & hate each other @ the same time and the gigs are supergreat because of that. dynamic tension is the god of creativity, so point 'pinho that way fo sho. drives it well - that he stayed w beat no matter what in this age where flash is all is a good sign.thanks old friend.
does/did your kid play in bands? on the one hand, nyc living offers some great opportunities (getting to play in a pretty historic music club in front of a famous? chef tv guy). but because it's nyc, the kids so far don't have opportunity to just go hang at friends houses without it being a whole operation (can't just head out on their own yet without adult supervision). I'm wondering how/if/when floppinho will be able to get a real band going- his own thing, not something that's a class at a place like school of rock.
great the kid is still doing it... sorry the fam is filled with enough hate for you to feel it.in music, learnin's for prodigies & weirdos. the band is the greatest human unit, cuz you can actively love & hate each other @ the same time and the gigs are supergreat because of that. dynamic tension is the god of creativity, so point 'pinho that way fo sho. drives it well - that he stayed w beat no matter what in this age where flash is all is a good sign.
li'lpissah's been in a band since age 15 (20 now) out in SDak/Min. They have been writing from the beginning but play mostly covers of good ol midwestern hard. They have a fb page but the fam all hate me since mom got married and i dont wanna give the name & have strangers poaching and making it worse.
ETA: and that stage! my ol pal Ellen useta jam after hours w Hendrix on that stage...
bummer, man. been going to the same place for trees since i was a little kid. would be seriously bummed if that tradition ended.shuke said:For as early in my childhood I can remember, our family went to a Christmas Tree farm west of Dayton to cut our own tree. Geezus that's is terrible. Sorry Bob - and obviously for them.My little sister's husband was struck by a car last week and passed away because if the injuries he sustained. Seriously sick about it. She lives on Kauai which sucks all that much more. Compounding the problem is they have, had, next to nothing. She was in court when he died because they were being evicted from the place they were staying at. T&P's are appreciated. I've never met his parents but they don't have much either and can't even afford to attend the funeral, obviously also sucks. There's a link to a gofundme link on my FB page to help pay for his hospital bill and funeral expenses. I don't expect a donation but it's there if you want. Sorry I haven't been around much but #### like this just seems to keep happening in my life and hate bringing the GMTAN down. Love you guys.

Yeah, thanks GB.Geezus that's is terrible. Sorry Bob - and obviously for them.
