K4>since you can afford a fancy $20 bottle, try the Vin du Lac Sauv Blanc.  In fact, go to Lake Chelan and go to their winery.
 Heading to Stehekin again in September so will check out the winery on the way, if not before then.

Victoria was one of our favorite long weekends ever. Gambling, Cuban cigars, bucolic all over the place.

It was also the most embarrassed my wife has ever been. You know how the rickshaw drivers swarm you when you offload the ferry? This cute little 95# girl pestered us into letting her take us to the hotel. Fifty feet later, we're trekking up the hill. She's strainning with ever muscle and fiber in her body. We're just barely moving, inching up the hill. All the other rickshaw drivers notice and start lining the curb, cheering her on. Soon the tourists join in and we're absolutely suffering from shame in the back as she makes the slowest trip ever up the hill. tl/dr don't take the rickshaw
She would think: Who invited the honkey sumo?

If there's extra cash, a romantic weekend in big Sur would be nice. Massages, stunning views, hikes and good eats. Dog house restored.

Campo Viejo Gran Reserva 2010 or Reserva 2010.

excellent Tempranillo for ~$10 Reserva - $25ish for the Gran Reserva

I'd feel better about the mezzaluna if the pizza didn't have pineapple on it.

I've morphed into a huge vodka drinker. Might like Cinco the best. have you had it? Very similar to Kettle One.

Ivankavitch at Spec's is pretty damn good for 15/handle.
Yeah, stock photo. Pineapple should never ever touch a pizza.

i have not tried Ivankavitch. Will be my next purchase. Cinco is decent, but to be honest, any pure vodka is ok with me. I don't do neat anymore, unless it is flavored.

ETA: any elder trees in Austin btw?

What do you mean pure? Cinco/Ketel are unfiltered.

I don't think there are elder trees here. I don't know what they look like. I thought they were more of a Pac NW thing.

Yeah, but I think I saw some in Fredericksburg a while back. Heck of a hike for me though

eta: pure as in unflavored. I prefer to flavor myself these days if needed.

Tried the Dobel Diamonte Tequila? Its wonderful. A anejo/reposada blend that's then filtered clear. Doesn't work for everyone, but I love it. That filtering takes out the hinky stuff imo. First tequila I've enjoyed sipping all evening.

I think they may be having trouble selling it. Its usually $50/750ml, but last week Twin Liquor have the 375mls for $15 each. I bought five cases :bag:

Casa Dragones ftw, but I don't drink it often. Got a friend who runs a tequila bar across the pond and he unfortunately turned me onto that one

how much is the Dobel diamonte?

Tim Tebow calling his agent right now trying to get a job polishing Deshaun Watson's throwing technique

WOULD BE A MASSIVE IMPROVEMENT

Nope, those are not the same species... and poisonous too I think.
Send me a link to the desired, non-poisonous ones you want and I'll investigate locally.

GalvHole postponed a couple weeks until Mardi Gras.

What part of H are you living now? I pass through a lot on the way to Galveston (10 to 45).  Could do a tequila/elderberry drop off next trip.

Hippling here. Thanks for the info @krista4. I was thinking food/booze/art festival and not greasy hippie festival. We have plenty of those in Austin. Cosjobs has smoked with most of them.

The first part.  If you typed "little scissors" the reader would have to put some thought into it.IMO.
Having thought about it, I agree with you. I heard the joke told out loud, so I didn't really think through that little nuance.

All that time you have spent on the Terrible Jokes sub-Reddit (instead of teaching the next generation about the Teapot Dome scandal) is really paying off.

I take pictures of the empty bottles the next day.
Perfect.

Back in my heavy red wine and weed days I would buy all kinds of wine at the local Fred Meyer, they had a decent wine buyer and always had sales.  The best red wine I ever had was an imported Merlot that had a label that just said "MERLOT" and nothing else on it. Was $8. Went back and bought a 2nd bottle an hour later. Never saw it again.

I think the beauty of RLs delivery was that Cesar's is pronounced like hack Spanish interpretation of scissors would be. Like when Babalooey says  "s'allright Queeksdraw"

I have overextended and have plans with four different women on four consecutive nights beginning Wednesday.  Now I'd rather stay home and drink wine.
