GM's Thread About Everything/GM's Thread About Nothing (27 Viewers)

BECAUSE OF THE RAIN WE WERE ON "RAINY DAY SCHEDULE" AT LUNCH TODAY.  YOU KNOW WHAT THAT MEANS, RICK?  MY LUNCH HOUR IS CUT SHORT BY 11 MINUTES SO THE KIDS CAN COME BACK INTO THE CLASSROOM INSTEAD OF BEING OUTSIDE.

WHY? BECAUSE KIDS ARE ####ING STUPID AND CANT STAY UNDER EAVES AND ####, RICK
11 minutes is like one one millionth of a summer.

I lose the pants as soon as I walk through the door.  No jammies though, just my boxer-briefs.  Which recently became a problem when my toddler was learning to walk and would pull himself up by whatever article of clothing he could reach.
You get home from work and just walk around in your underwear the rest of the night?

Took my two year old to the ER yesterday. She's OK.

Currently sitting in the ER with my 12 day old. He's probably fine. But we're here and that sucks.

I was hoping to see fewer hospitals in 2017.
I specifically told you to stay out of the hospital just last week.

Yesterday we went to the same hospital I went to last month. Got the same ER nurse. She was like "Oh, hey! Glad to see you up and doing so well! I checked in on you while you were recovering in the ICU, it's great to see you doing so well!"

Of all the local businesses to get the "Norm!" treatment at, huh?
Pro: Hey everyone

Bar: PRO!!

Woody: Hey Pro wanna beer?

Pro: That's a no brainer

:laughtrack:

If I can't laugh at myself I have no business laughing at anything.
I don't post as much as I used to (stupid work and wife and kids and dumb stuff) but I'm glad you're doing better and hope the kiddos are ok  :banned:

Discussing Debating Arguing floor types, floor colors, tile shapes, tile colors, cabinet configurations, sink styles, sink sizes, carpet grades, carpet colors, and bathroom tile sure is fun.

Remodeling was a great idea.

Assuming it's with your wife, don't argue this stuff. You won't win even if you get your way on some of those items. Functionality will have to be your contribution, not colors and styles.

It pisses my daughter off as well. She asks me wtf can't they go play in the rain?

What happened to Tanner?  I really miss that guy.  He wasn't too fond of me, and we butted heads a lot, but I always liked the guy.  Would love to see him come back.
He doesn;t like me anymore either. He even axed me as a facebook friend after the election. I miss the banter back and forth. He's still one of the good guys to me tho.

BTW - congrats on the rallies today.  We Righties had some fun with it but there's no doubt it was very impressive.

Yeah just break out the check book and assume the position, that's how it goes. Just did the kitchen.

My wife just got home from her march.  She is hammered!  I've been promised romance by text all day long for staying home with sick kids, but honestly, I think I'm going to have to pass as she's liable to pass out or barf or both if we engage.

Higgs, the thread is like a chat room with a hundred different conversations taking place.  There's representation here from left, right, center and all points in between but as a general rule we tend to table talks about politics, religion and the Great Pumpkin.  And for 7 years and millions of wasted key strokes, that's served us pretty well.  If you're funny and somewhat smart, you'll fit right in.  Really about it.

It's the first beer-making day of 2017 at Casa Uruk.

First up will be a Belgian Tripel (my personal fave) with a projected ABV of 8.5 to 9.0%.

Then we will move on to an American Amber, which has a much lower gravity (4.75 - 5.25%) for those times when you want a beer but don't wanna get smashed right away (like driving to work).

By about 9 a.m., should have 5 gallons of each fermenting.

Yep, though the only "10k" I'll be seeing today will be the aggregate calories of food & booze I consume while making the beer.
