GM's Thread About Everything/GM's Thread About Nothing (9 Viewers)

It does, doesn't it?

I haven't been doing much stuff like that for the last couple years, because of that long, ####ty situation. Maybe I should start again.
My schedule is packed pretty solid, but if you need practice taking someone with the mentality of a 14 YO out for beers and strippers, I'm sure I can find some time

Remember when I smashed into that deer on my motorcycle last year and blasted my knee? Well its been fine until yesterday and now I can barely walk. I'm supposed to fly out to the west coast tomorrow afternoon and I don't know if I can walk the terminal, much less to my seats in Petco, Santa Anita and Dodger Stadium. FML.

Are you asking to be put down?

Contrary to the stereotypes about it always raining in the PNW, we have a wet season and a dry season. The wet season starts in October and runs through March.

So far we have 37 inches of rain since last October, which is the average total for a full 12 months.

Damn, sorry to hear this, old man.  Must have been that cold front that came through Texas.

Bummer.

Getting old sucks.

You know who else won't get to fly on a plane or go to the ball park or race track?

That poor deer you ran down on you bike.

Bring a cane and you can get early boarding on the plane  :D

I'm going to see my orthopedist this afternoon. I'm hoping he can drain fluid and give me a cortisone shot, but I had one six weeks ago, so probably a no on the cortisone. Maybe some cockscomb.

Got lost in Dodgers Stadium parking lot one afternoon. Glad I made it out alive
While aimlessly wandering around, hoping to find our car, we saw Juan Pierre drive by in one of these. I tried to flag him down for help, but he just kept driving. Think he knew better than to stop in such a neighborhood

It is so ####### brutal.  Haven't been able to get up in the mountains (other than Cougar, which shouldn't even count); every day more depressing than the one before and mostly stuck inside.  I'm going to go to Hurricane Ridge to snowshoe on Friday if I can make it up there without sliding off the mountain.  Must get outside and do something.

Catching up on thread, glad DaughterPack is OK, sorry cos isn't.

In other news, today I discovered this exists.  Where have I been?

People are funny.  Take away their porn, they'll find away to have porn.

Contemporary censorship in Japan dates to the Meiji period. The influence of European Victorian culture was a catalyst for legislative interest in public sexual mores. Post-WWII, the Allies imposed a number of reforms on the Japanese government including anti-censorship laws. The legal proscriptions against pornography, therefore, derive from the nation’s penal code.

At present, “obscenity” is still prohibited. How this term is interpreted has not remained constant. While exposed genitalia (and until recently pubic hair) are illegal, the diversity of permissible sexual acts is now wide compared with other liberal democracies.

Leaders within the tentacle porn industry have stated that much of their work was initially directed at circumventing this policy. The animator Toshio Maeda stated: “At that time pre-Urotsuki Doji, it was illegal to create a sensual scene in bed. I thought I should do something to avoid drawing such a normal sensual scene. So I just created a creature. His tentacle is not a penis as a pretext. I could say, as an excuse, this is not a penis; this is just a part of the creature. You know, the creatures, they don't have a gender. A creature is a creature. So it is not obscene - not illegal. (“Manga Artist Interview Series (Part 1),” 2002)”

not sure i believe this. i've seen The Killing on Netflix and there has yet to be a sliver of sunshine in 2 seasons.

I'm still commuting to work with my feet, despite the daily deluge of rain.  Today I almost cried halfway to the office; not that it would have mattered.  My pants are just now starting to dry.  Once this cobalt trade is consummated, I'm retiring to Arizona.  I'm done with this.
