I was going to reply there's only one part of bako, but then rememered we designed a house there (never got built) that was likely in the jefferson's part.

so for the sake of argument, let's say the staten island part of brooklyn.
"Movin' On Up" Jeffersons, or "All In The Family" Jeffersons?

Excellent question.

Considering we're a schmancy scarfy architecture and design firm in NYC, go with weezy here.
Anytime anyone mentions Louise Jefferson the first, and really only, thing I think of is her always going to The Help Center.

You weren't designing a new Help Center, where you?  (I'm just assuming Bakersfield prolly needs all the help it can get. I've never been.  So, I've got that goin' for me.)

This is "Arts" week here at the office - company is a big supporter of the local civic arts organization, so they have some special displays, demonstrations, music performances etc. in the halls and cafeteria.

Anyway, I saw a poster where they're having a "Name That Tune" contest tomarrow. The poster says "Let's Dance!" with this picture of Bowie.

F'n rubes - those are like 10 years apart from each other! I'm boycotting on principle (and also because I have work to do, unlike SOME people apparently.)

I got this shirt about a month ago I've had two people ask me if it was for The Flash.

Related:  The guy that teaches next door was telling me that the subject of NYC came up in class.  One girl, who is a big Audrey Hepburn fan (meaning she owns a t-shirt with her on it), said she wanted to visit NYC so she could "eat at Tiffany's".

There's on in NE Philly too.  Not Audrey Hepburn...well...maybe

Same amount of research into their heroes as the Che Guevara t-shirt worshippers.

Stupid kids.

Eta.. or that other thing.... Good luck tomorrow- may all your dreams come true

Good times. Replaced my brake pads tonight on my car. Turned out that Firestone had crossthreaded two lug nuts when they put my tires on. So now I have a tire with 2 snug lug nuts and 2 sorta snug ones, which I will have to take to get cut off and replaced. Good times.

Also had a caliper pin that they hadn't properly greased when I had them do my brakes the last time and it was frozen. One of the brake pads was slightly too big for some dumb reason and had to sand down the end to get it to fit.

1 hour job turned into a 4 hour job and I still need to take it in to get things fixed.

Verdict: I will no longer be doing my own brakes.

Been there, done that...literally.

Still do my own brakes.

Remember how I thought I fixed my boat?  I put it in the water on Saturday, backed it off the trailer, shifted into forward and went in reverse.

Was going to give up and take it to a mechanic, but a second mechanic convinced me I was just a simple fix away from it working and I shouldn't waste my money.  One more day of wrenching on the engine.

So if you fix the boat, you get the mechanic gig? Kick ###!

#### CANCER!!!!!

just visited with the sweet neighbor lady that has been a surrogate grandma for my daughter.  her husband, carl, is the one i've mentioned before that has cancer.  he's on the way out.  probably this week.  he's at home.  a husk of a human being.  totally non responsive today.  my precious little kid has been going over there all week, to spread a little joy as kids can do, carl's wife asked us to come over tonight and it was ####### rough.  i'm pretty sad

This sounds somewhat similar to a story I heard from literally every boat owner I've ever known.

That sucks. Sorry to hear that. Sounds like you have a daughter with an awesome heart.

So what happened when you shifted into reverse?  Seems like a .99 Sharpie could fix your problems.

That and the other one I always hear are the 2 happiest days in a boat owners life are they day he buys it and the day he sells it
I'd go with the day a 24 year old runway model gets naked and blows you on it.
