GM's Thread About Everything/GM's Thread About Nothing (11 Viewers)

My oldest son had his play this weekend, Fiddler on the Roof.  He came home Friday and we were talking about stage make-up and I said I wish I had something that would give me eyebrows and my son said - "You mean like this"?  and pulled out some sort of pencil.  Had had a few beers, so I agreed to let my wife color in my brows and there was much hilarity until I saw the pictures of myself.  Holy frigging child molestor, Batman.

Well, not only did that look hideously stupid, but today I have pink eye.  Neat.
That diddlied a doodley I didn't even know I had

There was a guy that used to teach Health at our local JC, Norm Hoffman.  He started out as a middle distance track runner.  Then got into body building in the 70s.  There's a great pic of him meeting Arnold.   Hoffman almost dwarfs Arnold.

Guy was also world ranked cyclist.  Then some butthole ran him over while driving drunk.

Other than that, Mrs. Lincoln, how was the play?

Just left my 13 yr olds baseball 150 mins into the game to pick up my oldest.  13-12 was the score.  I'm guessing 9-10 hits total, combined both teams.  God I hate youth baseball.

You look like the love child of a brilliant scientist from a Keanu Reeves movie and a muppet.

Say folks, if you're looking for that next zinger to wallop some smart talking jive turkey, allow me to suggest the following:  "Why don't you Didgeridoo Me!"

Context?  Why of course...

Controversial gay porn film features men having sex with a didgeridoo.  A gay porn studio is facing fury from Australians after releasing a film featuring men having sex with a didgeridoo.  US-based studio Men.com released the clip online this month, featuring adult film stars Aspen and Jack.

In the video, a sleeping guy is woken up by his friend loudly playing the instrument. After being woken, the man gets his revenge – by trying to penetrate his friend with a 5-foot didgeridoo.  Didgeridoos are large wind instruments developed by Indigenous Australians in northern Australia, and holds a special status at ceremonial gatherings for some native groups.  The scene has attracted fury online, after clips spread on Tumblr and Twitter.

But Australia’s Star Observer reports that the clip was branded “incredibly disrespectful to the Australian Aboriginal communities”.  One commenter added: “This is incredibly racist and culturally offensive… don’t laugh, get angry.”  An Australian-themed bar in the US also came under fire this week for selling alcohol shots out of a didgeridoo.  Indigenous Australian campaigner Nathan Appo tweeted: “The didgeridoo is a spiritual instrument our people have been using for thousands of years to tell stories about the dreamtime.  “Let’s hope they apologise publicly and give the didgeridoo the respect it deserves.”

ThrillList guy just posted his top 100 burgers across the US, spent a year traveling the country.

His #1 burger:  "NICK'S" CHEESEBURGER WITH GRILLED ONIONS at Stanich's in Portland, OR.  Any of you guy's been there?

My favorite, Swenson's in Akron finished somewhere in the 80s - FALSE RATING.

I've been to Stanich's once a long time ago and was underwhelmed.  Willing to go give it another try, however.

Completely missed tdoss' daughter until today.  :(

Was there something in the FFA about it?  Is there somewhere to contribute to something?
What happened?  I apparently missed something too.

Been there it's great
#34 is a block away- fantastic chicken wings, but as we don't eat red meat, I haven't tried the burger. I miss burgers.

Unless I missed it, it didn't really get brought up in the FFA. I know Redmond made a comment in here, without mentioning names, that leads me to believe this is what he was talking about.
It was. I was trying to be sensitive.

I didn't want to be the town gossip, but I also thought some people would like to know.

I have a hard time believing that 10 other burgers could beat out Au Cheval.

Damn.  Wasn't trying to break news or be insensitive.  Just haven't been here much and didn't see anything.  Feel free to delete quotes. I deleted my post.

I thought of Mr. krista at the bookstore this evening, when I saw a book titled Your Favorite Band is Driving Me Crazy. Then I thought of krista when I saw a book titled I Could Pee on This, and Other Poems by Cats.
