Many moons ago everyone was claiming a particular poster was just a troll.  He isn't, in fact he's been using the same name on multiple message boards for years, with the same basic opinions.  When people claimed he was just a troll, I did a google search of his username - and found about 15 years of the same horse#### mindset.  I actually stuck up for the guy and told everyone he's definitely not a troll, without explaining much.

Today he starts in again about how he isn't a bigot.  I quoted one of his posts from another board, without saying it was from another board, to gently remind him he's a complete bigot and shouldn't be insulting others for realizing this, and he suddenly and without warning posted the entire post it came from, from this other board, and kind of called me out for not providing context.  Apparently he now feels this board is unsafe and too close to home.  So he's bailing.  Sent me a PM explaining he's previously been on a message board that made him afraid for his safety in this way and he has to leave now.

Well, I feel guilty for bringing in something from another board.  He gave a bit of a "lost anonymity" sob story, and I kind of feel like that's a reasonable concern.  But by the same token if you use the same unique username on the internet for 15 years, you're kind of inviting that.  Ren Ho3k would agree with me, I think.

agreed- if he wanted anonymity, he could've/should've changed his screen name @Sweatpants Boner Man

and not sure what his fear is concerning... confirmation that he's not the nice guy he thinks he is?

 
I don't think I'd feel very bad. I try to just ignore certain posters rather than antagonize or give them the attention they crave, but it has become really difficult as of late.

So yesterday, after school, I'm talking with my buddy that teaches next door.

He's only been teaching for a year so he asks me what he should do about a situation in class.

He tells me that a kid came up at the end of class and hands him a snapshot photo that he found on the floor.  Now my buddy is holding the photo and I can see it.  Buddy tells me "It's not really bad but I'm just not sure what to do with it."

So he shows it to me.  It's a pic of one of his female students (who is actually not in class these days because she and a few other girls got caught smoking the jazz cabbage last week but that really doesn't have anything to do with this) just sitting on a bed.  There is nothing suggestive about the pic at all in terms of pose or clothing etc.

...except the girl is eating the biggest GD banana I've ever seen and half of it is in her mouth.

My buddy says "I have no idea who had the picture or why.  I mean it's not like porn or anything but...I mean...what should I do with it?  I don't want to put it in the trash because what if somebody finds it?  I just don't know."

I told him  "Just take it to the Dean for this grade level and tell her a kid found it.  That's it.  Then it isn't your problem any more."  And that's what he did after putting it in an envelope.

Oh and the second he showed me the photo I started laughing my ### off and couldn't stop.  Then I laughed even harder when I saw him put it in an envelope like it was something he got from Jared from Subway.

No...he's actually a pretty well known HF attorney now in a family office where he deals with a bunch of crappy family BS (our daughter needs a company for her movie producing company type stuff) he's never had to craft legal docs for in his life.
