These inspections are SDE for FEMA and take roughly 7-10 minutes each.  We look for high water marks on residences.

Apparently kids these days are taking Immodium to get high.  Am I the only one who didn't know this?  And also, you can OD on it.

So, being constipated gets people high?

According to my swiss cheese memory/freshman biology, you actually can't get high off Immodium.  The actual "dope" that's in it can't cross the blood brain barrier.  Or are they cocktailing the Immodium with something that lets it piggyback across the BBB?

You could certainly "OD" on it though, because if you took enough you area literally never going to poop again. ("I wasn't pooping!!!" - K4)

Did not know this.  For me, this stuff works too well.  I ride it out now after learning my lesson the hard way.

They don't really have any official power do they?  I think all they can do is downgrade your rating, which anytime I see some place touting their BBB accreditation I figure it's a scam organization anyway

Reportedly, what they do is contact the business and tell them that there is a complaint against them. They then make the company aware of the BBB's super awesome premium whatever that the business can pay $$$ for, at which point the complaint magically disappears and the company gets a nice sterling A++ BBB stamp of approval.

 
 One of my friends is head of corporate security for a Fortune 500 company. Today he had to deal with an incident where an employee was almost killed.

The guy was outside taking a smoke break when something large fell off the roof and almost landed on him. A deer. A freaking deer got on the roof and jumped off. 

Luckily, the guy was uninjured. Unfortunately, the deer was badly injured and had to be put down.

If the guy had been injured, I'm not even sure how you'd write up that OSHA report.

Where is the office?  I can't imagine a deer in the places I spend 99% of my time, let alone one getting up to the roof of a building with security.

I'm not totally sure what building it was. It's not a heavily guarded facility or anything and the area around it is pretty rural. Apparently the building is a split level building with a hill on the one side that the building is somewhat set back into. 

They had at least one other previous incident with a deer where a deer crashed through a front window and went running through the building. The internal security footage was pretty funny.

 
The FFA or my phone really wants me to keep posting that in here. 

Our deer take the elevator before jumping off the roof. But somebody has to help with the buttons... Hooves.

Back during the eclipse there was a local story about some teens that were taking a bunch of laxatives and then going out to watch the eclipse without glasses.

they didn't know whether to #### or go blind.

 
Wife is working this weekend. I booked a room in Houston for Sat/Sun. Plan on Griff';s or other sports bar for Sat night game and paid an embarrassing amount for a single ticket for Sunday night game.

I justified it figuring its 50/50 mwhether I/USA surives Trump more than 18 months.

When the firey death of the apocalypse envelops me, will I really regret having blown too much money for front row Astros seats in the World Series at home, Keuchel v Kershaw.?

If there is no Armageddon before retirement, I may have some 'splainin' to do.

I had a Canadian colleague get hit in the head by a goose (lots of paperwork for that I guess) and my oldest company in Germany had a cow wander into the building (made the company newsletter) 

 
Drove by the Juice Box in Houston around 4:15 am yesterday on the way to the airport.  Looks like a nice place.  With all the #### that city’s been through, they deserve a World Series at the very least.  I’m happy to be home for at least 2 weeks.

At the bar on the coast where they play nothing but vinyl albums. Bartender was reaching for CCR and I told him “anything but”.  He put on Led Zep 2.

My stupid kid was playing with his Hexbug in the kitchen and it went under our stove and back into this little crevice

I didn't really care if he ever got it again but it was buzzing like crazy so I had to get a long screw driver with double sided tape in order for get it out.  Pics of the screwdriver available upon request
