GM's Thread About Everything/GM's Thread About Nothing (10 Viewers)

A man walks up to a busty woman in the mall.

"Excuse me but I can't find my wife. Do you mind talking to me for a minute?"

The woman replies "I'm not sure I understand. How will that help you find your wife?"

The man says "Everytime I talk to a woman with tlts like yours my wife shows up in seconds."

Please post the recipe
Turned out pretty darn good. The sauce is delicious enough to eat on it's own with just rice and/or veggies.

Not a big fan of beef ribs usually but these were good. And the bonus was all 4 of the kids ate them and liked them. Half the time at least one kid goes on a hunger strike at dinner

I can't exactly say why I'm a bit creeped out about this, but here it is:

My Facebook friends might know that I've a dear friend visiting from London, who arrived Friday night.  Yesterday I wanted to take her on a grand tour of the Olympic Peninsula.  I'd wanted to do a big hike with her, but the weather wasn't great so I settled on Mt. Storm King, which is a gorgeous locale and, while not a super-challenging hike, would be a good workout and provide some great views considering we couldn't get up higher to the best stuff due to the weather.

We arrived yesterday morning early and during our hike heard a helicopter for at least a half hour, which as anyone who hikes knows is not a great sign.  I thought it could be SAR but convinced myself it might just be training rather than a rescue.  And given where we were, even if it was a rescue attempt it could have been any of a large number of mountains, lakes, etc. in the area.  When we descended the mountain, we saw that a Navy helicopter had landed near the ranger station and Olympic Mountain Rescue was there, but again thought it could be training.

Then I heard about this.  Based on the timing they describe, this guy's body was right there while we were on the mountain, and they must have recovered him while we were on our way down.  Holy ####.  Just kind of freaks me out.

Edit:  I also feel bad now because I made a joke while we kept hearing the helicopter, thinking at worst it was a rescue not a recovery, like "Hey, we're right here!  Stop looking for us!"  Admittedly not amusing anyway.

Edit #2:  Based on where they said he fell and where he was found, we were within feet of him and had no idea.  Eeeesh.

Storm King near Lake Crescent, which is a gorgeous locale and, while not a super-challenging hike, would be a good workout and provide some great views considering we couldn't get up higher to the best stuff due to the weather.

Youch.

Don't feel bad about joking, though.
