Man run over by lawn mower while trying to kill son with chainsaw.

Douglas Ferguson (AP)

BRISTOL, Tenn. – A man who police say was run over with a lawn mower while trying to kill his son with a chain saw has had to have his leg amputated.

The Bristol Herald Courier reports that a warrant for 76-year-old Douglas Ferguson couldn’t be served until Tuesday because of the severity of his injuries.

According to a Sullivan County Sheriff’s Office release, officers called to a home June 28 found Ferguson bleeding from his leg and head. A preliminary investigation indicated he had tried to attack his son with a running chain saw while he son mowed the yard.

Detectives say the father and son had an ongoing feud.

Ferguson is charged with attempted second-degree murder and violating probation. It’s unclear whether he has a lawyer to comment on his behalf.

no idea
Sooo....he said, like, "Hey there, Bo and Luke Duke!!!" or did he call you "The Duke Boys" or something?

You need to just start firing back equally banal 80's inspired #### at him:

"Hey, Colt Seavers!˜

"What's doin', Judge Stone?"

"How they hanging, Mr. Belvedere?"

it was a hard slam of his palm on the back of my chair followed by some unintelligible guffawing capped by calling me Bo & Luke Duke

then he adjusted his balls and walked away

i'm gonna steer clear of the 80s references. that's like raw meat to this guy. he has absolutely every 80s comedy memorized. from lines to scenes to situations. he often sets up his one-liners by narrating a scene from Caddyshack or The Blues Brothers, etc. and then NAILS that ####### punchline that you just don't see coming.

Start speaking in 80's TV theme song lyrics.  He probably won't even notice.

"Hey, champ.  Noticed some streaks on your china earlier.  Better take care of it before somebody dropkicks their jacket over it."

"You seem bummed over that Packers loss, chief.  It'll be okay.  Show me that smile again."

*hums theme song to "Alf" as !?!?!?! walks into room* "Hey, Sorrel Brooks, got any cat?"

I’ll be in Laramie next Saturday for UWYO’s Homecoming game.  It seems fitting the team without Josh Allen will be much like the team was when I went to school there.....turrible.  Drinking at altitude though  :banned: ...yay!

just bought a used, 2018 toyota c hr, for the wife.  just under blue book  not a bad little car for running around town.  she likes it.

I'll be in Minute Maid. I'll also have a couple seats for Game 4-5 I'll probably sell. Front row in 300 section. I will not be gifting any of these. I paid too much and they should be relatively easy to scalp for a profit.

Nice. I bought tix for home game 4 which only would have happened had we played the Yankees and it went 7 so I got nothing. Stupid work trip. My only possible game is Thursday if our return flight lands on time.

Let me know if you decide to sell them, please.  I may be in Houston next week.

imdb says PG rated. seems safe, no? anything i've forgotten that may be too much for a 10 year old?

Unless a young Colleen Camp's cleavage is too much you should be okay.

We have not. She doesn’t like the “look” of them for some reason. She used to driving an F-150 and wants something that sits up higher like that.
The Flex drive like a luxury car and its very nice. It is not a truck or truck-like, its a different experience and when you take the family over a hundred miles, you are really going to tell a difference.

If you insist on a truck-like ride/look/feel, you should check out the newest used Lexus GX 470 or 460 you can afford. I've driven one of these for a long time. They are a 4Runner done by Lexus. They have a bullet proof V8 and the reliability to match any Toyota, I'm on my second one. First one I bought had 150K miles and it was flawless for 30K miles and I wrecked it and bought another with 90k miles and I'm on 130 now with no problems.

Good luck. I love buying cars and have bought way too many, but the GX and Flex were two of my favorites ever (for this stage of my life)

Don't go looking for pictures of what Colleen Camp looks like today.
if this were the sort of site where we discussed an actresses appearance.. or if i were the type of person who noticed such things.. which i don't because.. that's just disgusting, you pig.. then i would say "still works for me".

but since i'm not a degenerate i won't be commenting

My buddy Dean was in town this weekend for the Ducks game; what an awesome experience that was!  We've been in the same fantasy league together for 20+ years and it's the same group of guys.  My dad is in there, my ex-BIL, some of my fraternity brothers, buddies from high school.  And then there's a guy that's been in there the entire time who is a bit of an odd fellow.  Well, we're all odd, but this guy....he's out there.  Let's call him "Ted".

Ted is probably 6'4" and when Dean and I first met him, he was a pretty smooth cat.  The ladies really liked Ted and many a night out on the town with Ted in the late 90's ended with Ted going home with a nice looking lady.  Ted moved to the Bay Area in 2000 or so, met a woman, settled down and, as luck would have it, got her pregnant.  Not wanting to raise a kid in the Bay Area (and really, not having the sort of income one would need to do so) they moved up to Portland.

Ted never married this gal, but they stayed together after their daughter was born and tried to make a go of things.  Didn't really pan out and they had a pretty nasty split.  Ever since then, Ted has been reluctant to date and is no longer the smooth cat he once was.  That split took its toll on him and Ted has kind of let himself go.  Bald now, bad facial hair, strange glasses, a little extra padding.  He's a great dad, has his now 14 year old daughter 50% of the time and lives with her in a 2 BR apartment.

Ted tells us he's got a new girlfriend, but that things are a little rocky.  We pressed him and he just unloaded.  Apparently, this new GF lost her job and then lost her lease so she was in a bad spot.  Ted said she could temporarily move in with him and his daughter, but that as soon as she got another job, he wanted her to get her own place.  Well.....that didn't happen.  I know, surprise, surprise, surprise.  Not only has the GF moved in, but she too has a 15 year old daughter and now Ted has 3 girls living with him in a 2 BR apartment.  But wait, it gets better.

Not only has the GF remained unemployed, she has a "volunteer" job that has unusual hours, so she's out late at night, sleeps in and doesn't even try to find a job that will pay her.  So, we pressed again.  What kind of "volunteer" job.  After a long pause, Ted said "you don't want to know".  The table - including my dad - disagreed and said that we DO want to know.  Ted said "It's a club".  And I said "A strip club?"  Ted said "no, worse".

Apparently, there is a swingers club in downtown Portland.  His GF is a house dancer there and volunteers to show people around the club and try to sell memberships.  He said she refuses to give up this volunteer job and has taken him there so he can see that there's nothing to worry about.  Apparently, she likes to go there and dance because guys can't hit on her or grind on her.  There's all sorts of rules that have to be followed.  No phones allowed, no talking to women, they have to come talk to you first.  He said he just sat there, not doing anything when all of a sudden this couple just went over to a mattress near him and started humping.  He walked away, went past an open door and saw four dudes nailing a small Asian woman.  That was enough for Ted so he left.

He's told the GF she has to move out or get a real job.  We told him he should RUN away from this situation as far and as fast as possible, but.....he really likes her and says the sex is fantastic.  :lmao:

WTF?????

I haven't seen any of them but my wife saw A Star Is Born.

It's sad.  Probably not a happy birthday movie, imo.
