It’s nice that Washington only requires its lawyers to report continuing education every three years. Not as nice when you realize it’s Dec. 17 and you still have all 45 hours to complete by 12/31.  Oops.

On the plus side, I just watched a CLE on being a pot lawyer, for which I received ethics credit.  ⚖️

Washington has reciprocity for CLE with just about every other state.   You have credits anywhere else in the last three years?  You can use those.

Excellent thought, but I’m inactive in my other three states so don’t have to do CLE in them.

Not kidding that I thought the exact same thing today. :lmao:
You can do what I what I do and buy the cheapo bundle from TRTCLE...In theory one could just fast forward through each video, find the two keywords that you need to enter to get credit, and be done with the whole process in an hour or two.

Today was my son's last day of Nursery School.  His wednesday schedule was a little different, and we had a hard time with transportation for him as a result so I wound up working from home on Wednesdays to run some chauffeur service.  It was nice in the mornings as it was the only time I ever get the house alone to myself anymore, but the afternoons are hell, because the boy just does not respect the fact that I am actually working (or dicking around on the internet, same thing).  Anyway, I have taken advantage of that am alone time and I fear that now that school is over I will no longer be able to observe #wackoffwednesdays as I have grown accustomed too.

Just thought I'd share.  Carry on.
This board is neat.  I hit reply with the intention of making a comment about something else only to see the above text with a note that "Your previous content has been restored".  So I am just going to roll with that instead.

ETA: my son is in 1st grade now... wonder how long that had been queued up?

Whoa.  I just looked this up and can’t believe how cheap it is!  I was going to say that I didn’t want to pay for anything because I get all pli courses for free, but that’s tempting.  Of course, in theory I can start a pli course, mute it while I watch a movie or TV or even, god forbid, work, and then just click it every ten minutes when the box pops up.

LOOK AT ME. MY KID'S A GENIUS.

I fail this  routine. Badly.
MRI yesterday.....  I have something called an "Insufficiency fracture." Google it. LOL. Basically, a blood vessel wasn't supplying the blood necessary to an area of my knee and the area started to break down. Waiting for a call from a knee surgeon that specializes in this for more info, but they think I will be fine in 5-6 weeks without surgery by not putting any weight on it.

Seven days off the Norco and I can still feel that #### in my system.

my friggen knee has been bugging me this week, due to an insane work schedule.   :hot:

mighty.

ramen-mighty.

funny- he comes across as this really cool guy here.

yep. basically that.
It was great meeting in person and that was some good ramen.  I'm going to miss that place after I start my new job.  I wish I could have made it when a bunch of you guys went drinking a couple/few weeks ago.

I'll be here pretty much all of Jan M-W if we want to grab drinks again.

I met a woman on a date last night that dropped out of grad school (cognitive science) to become a full time photographer.  Can you really support yourself in this economy only doing wedding photography?  Isn't that a down grade not to become a professor?

Betting that you can. There's mad cash in weddings.

weddings don't ever go away. cognition definitely does.

felt like we paid about 90% too much for a wedding photographer. they did a great job, don't get me wrong but... holy #### was it expensive for 4 hours of work + a book of photos that we had to pay for on top of the what we already spent on them.

they show up, spend a few hours taking digital photos and if you want copies you've got to pay for them.

It'd be tough but anything is doable.  She'd probably more successful if she opened up to more types of events I would think (birthday parties, bah mitzvahs, funerals, etc.).

Mix in some real estate listing photography and you can do quite well. My listing photographer does some weddings,  and hotel shoots,  Pretty sure he takes home about 200k per year.

Their equipment is crazy expensive and editing time is no joke. Crappy ones aren't worth it, but ones that actually know what they're doing are.

It’s a bit monsoony down here in the Tampa area.  On the plus side, it’s my Friday.  Heading to Daytona tomorrow and then drinking around Disney Saturday and Sunday while Mrs. O looks at more more Christmas ####

anybody have good plans for the holidays tamoooorwoh?

we're doing our annual trip to the inlaws in NoVa. big family, ours are the youngest, but there are a couple cousins about their age who they love. I get along fine with them- probably better than my wife does. I don't think they've ever, in 20 years, asked me a single question about my life... which I think is a little odd. MIL is a bit... much... but again, I get along with- definitely better than my wife does (it'll end in tears- lots and lots).

we do nothing there, but try to find our crap that hoarder MIL constantly rearranges, and try to find food that isn't processed or rotting. GOOD TIMES!
