are there certain words buried in white text on the forum page?

for example ctrl+f '2019' and you'll get 8 results but there are only 4 references to 2019 on the page. do the same with '2018' and you get 11 results but only 5 actually exist on the page.

They're in the menus at the top, Poirot

We're having pop-up thunderstorms this week, but people are still at the pool. I may see Darwinism in action from my patio this afternoon.

Perfect day at the Jersey shore...enjoying this whole week at the beach thing.
I just got back from a week at the beach and it was heavenly.  Founders All Day IPA is the perfect companion and my wife is fully onboard with me cracking a beer at 9:30

I hope your week is awesome El Floppo!

Back at the bar for the third time in four nights. Bought a shot for the bartenders, neither of which would touch me if I was the last man on Earth.  :lmao:

I may be overstating the case here. If I was literally the last man on Earth, and it was either me or extinction, they'd probably both roll their eyes and say "All right, let's get this over with."

How do you know until you actually try?

Good work here. I personally think it'd be an easy weird, if that makes sense.

:lmao:  I must have had a little shukeangel on my shoulder. Later, this gal came into the bar, never seen her before. She kept smiling at me, so I went over and introduced myself. Two hours later, we were at her place, going at each other like teenagers.  :pickle:

Two closings this Friday delayed today.

One got a new job a week ago and just told us.  WTF.  We told him in a meeting and initial welcome letter not to do that.

Other delayed a week to have repairs done that were agreed upon 13 days ago.  Was told they just got the bid back on one item.  WTF???  Should only delay 3-5 days.

And 20 minutes ago, got an email that I have to report to jury duty tomorrow at 9am.  (didn't have to report today)  :lmao: :kicksrock:

Like most married people, I often wonder what possessed me to do that, but then there are moments like this.

I was expecting a package today and saw from Amazon it had been left in a storage locker two blocks away.  Wearing yoga pants and a hoodie, I expressed to Mr krista that maybe I should change into something more presentable to make the four-block r/t walk.

Him:  “Whaddya, gonna wear a ballgown or something?  Here, you should probably take some booze with you.”  (Hands me a glass of sangria)

proving that chivalry is not dead.

coordinating a meeting with subs for next week and typed out my dad's birthday.

it's been 12 1/2 years, but dammit- for some reason, just seeing the day crushed me just now.

so much he missed- and so much my kids missed by not getting to meet him.  :(

amazing guy, amazing dad... miss you, dad.

coming back from vacation can suck it
I'm on day 8 of a 19 day vacation. I get back on a Sunday night. Monday morning I have to make a 5 hour drive to spend a week doing an insane amount of work for a client. Fun.

On the other hand, hard to complain when I have a 19 day vacation. Almost feels like being a teacher. So far we've seen Canyonlands, Arches, Capitol Reef, Bryce Canyon and just got to Zion. Have 3 days here at Zion and then have Yellowstone and Grand Tetons. It's been awesome.

did you get to goblin valley yet? right there in the mix- very small, but very worth the trip (drive-in, spend an hour or less, drive out).

amazing trip, and amzing to have 19 days. my 5 days off felt way too short. just not in the mood to do any of this crap now that I'm back... have an interview tomorrow night, we'll see.

Headed to NYC next week (Wed-Sun) to make up for the cancelled spring break trip.   @El Floppo I'd be happy to buy you a cocktail if you have time.   We're staying at the Millennium Hilton UN.

ah- thanks. might work out... I'll be working late I'm sure.

I've stayed at that hotel... if you're on the east part of it, absolutely amazing views of the UN and river. also not too far from my office.

@RC94 needs drinks too... he and I are over-due for drink/lunch due to my stupid schedule.

Unfortunately, no. It was between Capitol Reef and Bryce Canyon and we hiked Sulphur Creek at Capitol Reef in the morning before we drove to Byce and my crew was wiped out. I had wanted to stop, but I'm pushing my wife and daughter pretty far outside their usual limits as it is and am having to make some sacrifices. Unfortunately, Goblin Park was one of them :(

I do have to say that after driving from Denver through Colorado, I think Colorado is my recommendation for my next Guys' Trip. Just absolutely gorgeous and there seems like tons to do and plenty of nice little towns to stay in.

Not sure I will be around at that time, but let me know when you guys have plans.

:excited:   Hi GB!  I’ll try not to take it personally that you quoted a post of mine and said the thread has died.
Years ago someone did some kind of analysis and figured out the top posters who were thread killers (last posts in threads).

Would be interesting to get an update.
