GM's thread about nothing (31 Viewers)

I ####### hate all the first amendment outrage when something like this happens. Yes, you can say virtually anything you want without getting arrested or punished by the government; but what you say or how you act can have consequences from your employer, customers, or any joe on the street.
I'm going to go out on a limb and say that any hard-core Duck Dynasty fan (or anyone that thinks like this Phil bumpkin) probably thinks the First Amendment is that exit ramp they're building where the interstate hits County Line Road (you know, right by the Stuckey's)
I live five minutes from a "County Line Road" (actually true), yet there is no Stuckey's.
I'm sitting about 1 mile from 7th Standard Road. In all fairness about 3 miles down the way it turns into Merle Haggard Dr.

Oh and I've even see a real life Stuckey's. I just know it is a Southeast type of thing.

I do have 10 - 12 waffle house within 30 minutes of my house. (also, actually true)

How do you know if your son is actually gay, or if he's just being a little brother and copying his big sister like most younger siblings do at 3 years old?
My brother played dress-up, my little pony, and barbies with my sister. He also only liked pretty girls (if you were an ugly teacher or something, he hated you), and then later in life obsessed about the spice girls, Brittany spears, and his favorite x-man was Storm. Also, musicals instead of sports. 100% gay now, and we all just knew forever.
My super-manly BIL has an 8 year old son that I think is gay. I would never say anything like that to anyone, but I won't be the least bit surprised when the kid that loves to dance and hates hunting and cries six times a day for some ridiculous reason ends up liking dudes.
He's 8 and hates hunting? HOW DARE HE! WHAT A GAYWAD!
:lmao:

Now I have seen a Waffle House before. Pretty sure I walked by one in GA about 25 years ago.

I never saw RAD either. And all this time I thought I had seen the majority of crappy movies released in the 80s.
How about Thrashin'? The Dirt Bike Kid?

These along with Iron Eagle and RAD were pretty much staples that young Bogart would rent from the local video store on weekends to moms.
Iron Eagle: Yes

Thrashin': Yes

Dirt Bike Kid: No

Right before Iron Eagle came out Jason Gedrick was in this hunk of crap that was on HBO about 4 times a day called "The Heavenly Kid". He was terrible in it. I think I avoided seeing Iron Eagle for at least a year because he was in it.
I haven't even heard of these movies.

I hate Home Alone.

Feel free to add that to the list.
I hated it too but the boys love it so now I like it.

Back surgery was successful, now I get to spend two weeks on my ### with my friends Oxy and Norco.
Glad your surgery was successful.

Careful with that ####, GB. I know people who've gotten hooked and it ain't funny getting off of it.
Tell Rush I said hello.

Glad to hear things went well GBHawks.

OK, thanks. I managed to avoid all things Duck Dynasty through now, so I'll try to stick with that.

Better hope Bogart doesn't come for a visit.

:lmao: Good job seeing him GB but I'm a little unsure about the ratting part. Just being honest here.

~Do we need to change the title to GM's thread about nothing and gay son support group?

~Tanner, I loled at most of your pics

~My SS box went out Tuesday and I forgot to even put a note in it that it's from me. I'm sure you'll be able to figure it out though. Not my best effort either, so my apologies.

~Frosty, congrats on getting your wife back to work, Sincerely, SLB & Charv

I have a gay cousin and I was the first person in the family (besides his parents) that he "came out" to. We're the same age and I wasn't totally surprised by it. I told him I was fine with it but if he was also a Yankee fan then I would never talk to him again. He has a sense of humor about it, when my brother asked him if he was sure he was gay he replied "well if I'm not gay then I'm first straight guy that hates ##### but love ****". I also reminded him that my mother still has a picture of him and I when we were 4 years old taking a bath together, and I asked him how he was able to control himself in the tub with such a studly naked guy right next to him, he replied "it was easy, you had an awful hair cut and you were hung like a 2 year old"
:lmao:

So this is in the middle of a long MOP post in the netflix thread,

I never knew the kids live with mom n dad basically their whole life.
In case anybody wants it.
How much of his persona is just BS? Doesn't he work for a trucking or moving company that is shady or something? How is he making it rain in that business?
Probably close to 85%. I think long ago he realized he had a gift of making posters in the FFA go nuts and either out of boredom or some sort of weird fetish to incite internet strangers, he started fabricating stories with inflammatory commentary meant to rile folks up. Board historians will tell you early on there were two versions of MOP: The Shark Pool version (which, say what you will about him, was well followed and respected by the booger eaters who live there) and the FFA version. For a while, I think he tried to keep those aspects separate, but inevitably, they bled over, especially when people who post here would follow him in the Shark Pool with the sole intent of baiting him.

Do I think he has a son? Absolutely not.

Do I think he threw a hooker out of his car? Come on.

Do I think he nearly went to blows over a guy opening tuna in a movie theater or a mispriced package of Swedish fish? Please. That didn't happen.

But when he posts those stories, he strikes absolute internet gold in the form of heated exchanges, which he augments by claiming a faux moral superiority coupled with jabs and barbs that piss folks off. He's gotten to me before. I've laid into him. I think he loves that. I think that entertains him.

But MOP is about as real as professional wrestling.
Yet you can't spell MBA without using a dictionary.
It's gotten better for me since I switched to Chrome. Chrome tracks my progress and informs with a red line when I occassionally misspell a word.

Dylan was sick Sunday, threw up twice, I rate this a 5/10.

Cal was sick Tuesday, threw up 5 times, I rate this 7/10.

The last thing I've even until right now, was that Wendy's cheesburger Tuesday afternoon. I always imagine little people living inside me like Osmosis Jones. Tuesday night my stomach started hurting and I could feel the red lights flashing, alarms going off and a bunch of microbes, red/white blood cells and stuff running around my body in a panic. I made it through the night but something just wasn't right. Then somebody made a really tough decision. I could just see them simultaneously turning keys, like the were launching a nuke, and saying "may Bob have mercy on our souls" as they then gently touch the abort button. That's when everything in my body was ejected. Threw up 7 times? Oh sure. Violent diarrhea? Of course. Everything had to go. I slept for 30 hours between episodes and pooped myself twice while vomiting. BTW, it's really, really, painful vomiting when you have pulled muscles in your chest. Last time I help old people ever.

I rate this a 10/10.

Then this morning Mrs. SLB said she doesn't feel good. No other symptoms. I got the boys on the bus and went back to bed. I have often heard women say things like "men are sissies when they are sick". Yeah? Well apparently nurses are even bigger pussies. She rarely gets sick so maybe that's it. Of course she had job interview today so maybe that's what it was.

I rate this a 1/10 for now.

I gotta tell you, the more I think about it, I could care less what he does to himself, it's not my concern. My issue came down to the fact that I talked to both of his nurses that night, you could really tell they cared about helping their patients, and I didn't want to see anything happen to them, if my Grandpa did something stupid. I was worried more about their jobs than him. Now probably nothing would have happened, but stranger things have happened. I have been in too many hospitals lately and see a lot.

Besides, #### him, he beat on my mom and didn't provide for her as a kid. ******* can burn for all I care. I hope he misses his pills.

I still should have taken his pills. :ninja:

One of the many great things about your kids getting older is that you don't catch as many "bugs". We're talking probably a 90% decrease once your kids hit HS.

I'm surrounded by kids all day long and I can't think of the last time I had the pukeshi ts.

I'm off to go buy the boy's teachers gift cards since tomorrow's the last day of school and Mrs. SLB was too buys (lol) to buy them. WTF is the deal this year with getting a wish list for teachers? I saw it in another thread but can't remember where. I always take care of them, particularly considering the circumstances, but to send a school wide list by teacher requesting stuff? That's beyond tacky IMO. "Hey Susie, thanks for making me the cookies but I really wanted a gift card to Bed Bath & Beyond, Target or Panera Bread."

That's ridiculous. Just the fact that these teachers assume they're getting a gift period is terrible.

The only way I could imagine doing something like this would be to tell the kids "Hey, if you were already planning on getting me a gift skip the sweets and coffee mugs and gift cards. Instead buy get me some pencils, post-its, mini-sharpeners etc. And buy them from SLB Business Supplies Inc."

Oh and head lice. There's a 50-50 chance your kid(s) is going to come home with head lice. Doesn't matter how clean you keep your kids or your house. When it happens PM me and I'll tell you my sure-fire method of getting rid of them.

Myself, my daughter, my gf and her two brothers all got this or something very similar the day after Thanksgiving. Daughter blew chunks in the theater trying to see Frozen. Fun times.

I didn't eat for two days; gf didn't eat for about 3-4, which is awesome for a type 1 diabetic.

####### lice. My daughter's school had a constant battle with these things, and we got an email about twice a week about checks, kids all being sent to the nurse, etc. Finally after about two months my daughter got the damn things. Paid $300 to some place that specializes in getting rid of them.

Makes my skin crawl just thinking about it.

I could have given you my $10 method. Works like a champion.

Anyone using Spotify: The "Evening Commute" featured playlist is excellent.

That is all. For now. :coffee:
Will report back.
There's like 4 "evening commutes" when you search. Which one is it?
I don't know. I was hoping CD was following it, but I went to his spotify lists and he has:

Top Tracks (10 tracks)

Liked from Radio (0 tracks)

Texas (0)

POP music (3 tracks)

Country (4)

ROCK (1)

Arcade Fire - The Suburbs (3)

New Playlist (1)

ALL (63)

It figures he doesn't want more than a couple of songs in his playlists.
