GM's thread about nothing (7 Viewers)

The only person here who saw Hornsby play was tanner, and until he weighs in Alomar is the right answer, even if he does have aids.
Off the top of my head I'd say Joe Morgan and Jackie Robinson were better than Alomar, but Hornsby is probably the correct answer.

I can't wait for like 20 years when Krista has tried to live in every city and she posts here "Ok, now how about Tulsa, Milwaukee, and Helena. Thoughts?"

Then I can say "Milwaukee is an up and coming city"

Yeah, that'll be nice.

It put me in Santa Rosa, Sacramento or Reno.

About halfway between where I grew up and where I live now, I guess, but still off by a solid 500 miles.

This dialect quiz is making the rounds on FB. Pretty amazing how accurate it is.. Knew exactly where I grew up.
Me too. Are we sure they aren't using a cookie or something though?
Was wondering the same thing myself.. was pretty damn accurate.
I retook the quiz and answered the opposite of how I normally speak. The map said I was from Mississippi or Alabama. No cookie conspiracy at work.

How do I keep my 2 year old (26 months) from seriously injuring my 10 month old? He just wants to hug and play with him but he is way too aggressive. The poor kid has a couple cuts on his face right now.

I retook it and gave whatever answer I thought was the dumbest sounding. My top three were Jersey City, New York City, and New Orleans.

Pack, how's Mrs Pack doing today?
Doing pretty good. In a lot of pain, but it seems to be subsiding a little bit, still taking Vocodin or Percocet every 4hrs. Merissa came home today so that has her spirits up. Our best friends made us dinner and dropped it off so that's a win right there!

Hopefully she'll be in less pain tomorrow.

Thanks for asking GB!

Hey GB, I have nothing going this weekend so if you need groceries or anything else, just let me know.

Mrs. SLB is in bed with a Y chromosome headache so I decided to make the boys chocolate chip waffles for dinner. It was very close to this.
SLB, is beerhole still on? I see the list disappeared from your sig.

In all seriousness (?) I did receive a package:

1 bottle of American Harvest Organic Vodka

1 large bag of Red Hot Riplets

1 suspicious looking Gooey Bitter Kake (note Kake, with a K) :oldunsure:

1 CD with Megadeth, Greatest Hits, and 1 travel poker kit, 1 St Louis Cardinals towel http://i278.photobucket.com/albums/kk118/charvik/IMG_1543.jpg

VHS: North Dallas Forty

VHS: Total Access '95 (Chiefs?)

2 Fast 2 Furious DVD

1 Jar of FLARP Noise Putty

1 odd looking "Satisfaction Guaranteed" box

2014 St Louis Zoo Calendar

2 Magazines with Cardinals World Series Articles

2 Rams Season Ticket Holder lanyards

Awesome box GBSLB!

Yes it is. I'm waiting to hear back from Stryker on one thing.

In the least surprising event ever in the history of ever, we had Christmas with my side of the family and my wife ended up in tears.

When I was 22-23, the owner of the company I was working for hired his daughter as a sales consultant. She was fresh out of law school and an in your face, no back down, feminist kind of broad. There was a sales meeting and my Dad asked who wanted to work with her. The almost all male sales force laughed. I raised my hand, I will.

A little annoying? Sure. Solid as gold though. She knew people, made appointments and I shut them down. Time after time. We were a great team. It was glorious. I still have clients from back then.

I could really use her now. Of course she's extremely well off and her Dad ####ed my Dad over though. I bet if I asked....

Huh, didn't really think that was how I was going to end that.

I hope it was the joyful ones GB.
No. And I ducking told her it would happen on the way there. But if course she insisted she would be fine. Then my loud sister in law got louder and our daughter didn't want to have a slumber party with her cousins and now the whole evening sucks and I don't have any smokes. Cool. Merry Christmas.

Much appreciated GB. Now with the daughter home it is a HUGE help. I'll be able to get out of here in the morning and do a little shopping,

Thanks for the offer, I truly appreciate it!

Once she starts listing Pacoima as an option I'm just going to mail her a pistol.

That Lockheed Martin Boy Scout thread reminds me again that I really hope my boys don't join the Scouts. There's plenty of opportunities for camping, fishing, working on #### around the house, etc. without being forced to do it with a bunch of people I don't really want to be around in the absence of alcohol.
