GM's thread about nothing (14 Viewers)

Funny ish story. I go in mens room and two guys are talking prostrate. One guy looks me and says how bout you, you get the fingers up your ### yet? I said "by a doctor or for fun?" They laughed and then bought me a shot.

Hot young waitress seems confused I keep saying "KEEP ME COMING".Unrelated, Toto was under rated band.

You had me up to there.

They were laying down in the bathroom?

I like Toto.

For those of you so kind enough to give me your opinion with my ongoing legal issue with my former client, their counter offer doubled but it wasn't close to what I want or fair. Thankfully my lawyer and myself are on the same page and he just pushed all in if you will. (I can't remember if I posted the back story about my lawyer but he's in his 70's but still as sharp as hell.) They are going to make another offer. Hopefully this one will be a little more serious.

Yeah getting old and cancer are horrid. My buddy Judson from Dallas is down to his final days. Guy fought like a brave for a year but has given up. He is 41. I will be going to Dallas soon...too soon. I'm thankful I saw him last year for the super bowl to say goodbye to him when he was of sound mind. Brain tumors have robbed him of that dignity now. He will leave behind a wife, no kids and numerous friends. I am honored to be one of them. Sigh....
Oh man, I'm so sorry. I remember your turning somersaults to work in both coshole and seeing your friend last year. You're really a great friend to everyone.

Stryker - pm

Bob - I asked about you a few pages ago and was told you were like Jack Nicholson in the shining with a bad case of cabin fever.
No, just working a lot. I'm way past that though.

Today's "getting old sucks" update: two friends whose dads died, one whose grandmother died, one whose mother is in surgery, and one whose sister and nephew are about to die of cancer. On the plus side one friend who had a baby.

This starts to look more and more like a typical day. Blows. I'm going to bed.
Sorry to hear GB and sorry about your former co-worker. I'll call you later.
Thanks GB. The co-worker is the one who died in October, where I was freaked out about speaking at his funeral. No new co-worker deaths that I know of, though I haven't talked to anyone there since Tuesday.

I couldn't sleep, as always, so got back up and am watching the original Manhunter. Great movie but probably will be as good at lulling me to sleep as A Clockwork Orange was last night.

I like Toto.

He's Jewish. So you know he's good.

At one of the hospitals around here where I have a bunch of doctor's offices, I always park in the valet parking area because there are a good 50 spots and no more than 10 are filled at any given time. I always think of this though.

 Good flick.
Big Manhunter fan. Firm believer that Brian (oops) Cox was better at the Hannibal shtick than Anthony Hopkins was
I agree! And I've likely seen this movie 5+ times and it's still really good.

All of this sub-zero weather has frozen the lakes in my neighborhood solid. It brought me great happiness that a bunch of the kids were playing hockey when I got home tonight despite the signs telling them it was forbidden. We used to play as kids until we all outgrew our skates. Good times.

I know he's good because you told me he gave you exactly the same advice* I did. ;)

*Friendly advice, not legal advice, of course.

As many of you know, I've got this very good friend in the neighborhood that is 25 years older than me and lost his wife to kidney cancer a year or so ago and we get really drunk together some nights and he cries about it. We did that tonight. The moral of the story is that you should hug your loved ones because you never know how things are going to turn out.

And we also talk about we fell in love with strong-willed women. So, K4, : :bye: :

Love you GB. It's not just because every moment I've been around you, that you were drinking beer. That's just a bonus.

I think I have detected the problem.

If your wife needs someone to swing by and give her a hug while you're gone, can I call dibs?

Was hanging out with a coworker tonight and as we were walking back to our cars, she bumped into a friend. Long story short, friend and I hit it off and will be getting together again this weekend :coffee:

For your sake, I hope she's a nympho. For ours, I hope she's bat#### crazy

Good news: Roverkid got bumped to first class.

Bad news: she doesn't arrive until after midnight. I have no idea how to kill 3 1/2 hours sober
