So my wife's good friend is getting married in Wausau this weekend (about 3 hours NW of Milwaukee) where I'll know my wife and the bride and groom. Already my weekend isn't starting off that well. But we're dropping the kid off at her sisters house so I get to get my drink on and I get bang on every surface of the hotel room. So I got that going for me. I guess I can handle this.

This broad is a little flaky but she was a nice gal and one of my wife's good friends. But she always wanted a winter wedding. Ok no problem some people are weird like that. But wait there's more. She always wanted an outside winter wedding. In Wisconsin. In February. In the middle of a polar vortex or whatever. It should be about 15 degrees (HEAT WAVE!) so we're not going to be burning the chairs for warmth and eating the old and weak for sustenance or anything. I'm thinking blackberry brandy for my flask. Any other suggestions (sorry Tre, not buying $100 bourbon)?

Oh and my wife just told me she got her period.

I'm getting drunk tonight
Does homer know you are married to a 14 year old?

Congrats YSR. If you need practice I will be happy to box both mine up and ship them to you for a while. Its my own version of the box of crap.

I had taken the day off work today so that angrywife and I could hang out, run a few errands, drink at lunch and see how the afternoon goes. It was a brilliant plan. Then jr woke me up at 5 this morning to tell me he threw up twice in his room and can't go to school. So now I'm stuck in the house with a crabby preschooler.

Congrats GB!

Since you are hosed on clothes, you might as well have Romo knock you up again and have two at the same time.
:lmao: No kidding.

I'm really excited about having a boy, but I am also looking somewhat wistfully at all of the sweet clothes my daughter has outgrown.

The mixed news on having a boy, though, is that my in-laws will likely give us all the hand-me-downs that they have (not surprisingly) kept from my 3.5 year old nephew. It's good that he'll have clothes at the ready, but it's bad that they are all Tennessee redneck clothes that feature "I love my Grandmammy and Grandpappy!" type messages.

Congrats YSR!! Really happy for you and Romo.

So, I'm like 30 days and a billion pages behind. For some reason, being out of town, my whole routine was out of whack.

So, T&Ps to those that need it (especially if you know Bob), way to be drunk to Homer, TRE, Uni and Guster. And congrats to those that did cool stuff.

Glad you are here. cQ seems to think he won the "last tree down" pool.

Congrats, YSR!!

Re bourbonchat, my stepfather had stuff from these guys at dinner last night and was raving about it, after initially being skeptical that bourbon could be bourbon if made outside Kentucky. Don't know the cost, but he thought it was as good as about anything he's ever had.

Have I been gone that long? That second sentence makes no since at all.

Quinoa took his Christmas tree down last week. He seemed to think that made him the last person to take his tree down this year. You and I know better.

Congrats! We're working on the second and I'm not sure if I want another boy or not. I should figure that out so I know what position to "finish" in

I don't care what the clothes say, but hand me downs are the shizz. I don't think we've bought clothes in his 17 month existence. :moneybag:

It think it refers to us finally taking our xmas tree down this week.

I always found that "inside" works best.

Myth. :oldunsure:

We got TONS of awesome clothes as gifts for my boys and my stupid gf still bought clothes for them. She's lucky she's easy on the eyes.

Congrats, YSR!!

Interesting. I stared at these for a few mins at the liquor store the other day and ultimately decided I didn't like their "multi-flavor" shtick. Will have to give it a try now. Do you know which flava he had?

He had the American Prairie Reserve. It was the only one they had, but the waiter was really talking up the Bourye and Son of Bourye, too.

Jokes on Abe. I didn't even put a tree up this year.

Sorry GB. A special prayer and interpretive dance will be done for your liver this afternoon.

It's been that way sense forever.

Guys I'm running a Half Marathon in May in some little town in Illinois. All they have is a strip club there. Ill meet you at the Silver Slipper for their lunch buffet.

Congrats, YSR!!

Still waiting for squares $ from: YSR x2, BostonFred x2, Homer

but since I've met them all in real life, I'm going to assume they're good for it.

I used the super-mega-uber complicated rand() and rank() functions in Excel to assign the squares.

I've taken the results of this randomization and put them into PDF files so that peoples can view them on any device or easily print them out if desired

hey look, it's a squares box (or is it a boxes square?)

random kitten picture

not really but semi-alphabetical list by screen name or nickname or a random name i used to track

if you're unhappy with your square assignment or anyone else's square assignment, PM shuke or send a tweet to the GMTAN account

Hey Icon, I see you. I saw you tell one of the n00bs recently about shot videos. We're still waiting on yours
If it doesn't happen this weekend, it won't happen till march...

Unless I fail miserably which is likely.
So we're not getting a shot video then. At least thorn throws one up and then deletes it the next day

And the people around here have more sense than to engage Coooooold Bloooooooded.

I've got a pretty heavy weekend of boozing slated... I'll see what I can do.

Coincidentally, that's what Flysack has tattooed on his ankle. (Actually actually true)

TRE> We use ESPN to draft (and then manually enter teams on to Sportsline), and it's the best option...mostly because you're able to pause the draft at any time. But we've never had any problems there. 14 teams x 23 roster spots usually takes 5 hours.
Why not just draft on Sportsline? I've been using it for my auction league for as long as i can remember (4+ years)
No pausies. Also the interface and layout is god-awful.

Bourbon from Utah? That's like BBQ from Maine or TEX-MEX from Iceland. Intrigued....
We were skeptical, but it was a hit.

Now that we're definitely moving to Seattle, can we reserve our Ducks game GM cornhole?
Yeah, that's perfect. In the past, our Fed Ex driver (Kenny) has been a great trade partner for Ducks' tickets. I'll swap a pair of my seats to one game for a pair of his to another and that way, we each get four tickets to a single game. We'd have to split up during the game, but that's fine. We can meet up at the beer garden at halftime, etc. I'll print out the schedule and talk to him when he's in here next. Earlier in the season is more enjoyable weather wise, though in early fall, you start to get a change in foliage, which is magnificent. #phteven

Right now, I would suggest swapping out my Wyoming (Sept 13th) for his Arizona (Oct. 2). If he goes for that, then circle Oct 2 on your calendar and we can plan it from there. We won't know the time of the game until much later, but I would strongly suggest us booking hotel rooms in Eugene for that night. Avoiding the drive back to Portland is the shark move. It's a horrible drive home. But partying in Eugene after the game is a lot of fun. Plenty of cool bars, breweries, music, good food.

Then we can wake up early Sunday, drive back in daylight without scores of drunks, cops and congestion, hole up at a sports bar in Portland and watch NFL games. You guys can even look at Amtrak or Bolt Bus to avoid driving back to Seattle that afternoon.

I noticed a bag of clothes in the basement from when the boys were babies. I'm much more of a hoarder than my wife, who isn't at all, so I was surprised to see this. She wants to hold on to them for some reason that she couldn't explain to me. Maybe I can talk her out of them for you.
