GM's thread about nothing (10 Viewers)

Completely apolitically, I wanted to mention that the Caprese sandwich is definitely top five, and to note that it is impossible to get a freakin' egg salad sandwich in Memphis. Is this a Memphis thing, or a Southern thing? The only thing available anywhere here is an egg-and-olive sandwich. I am olive-friendly, but it's amazing to me that you can't get an egg salad that doesn't include olives...proudly displayed, even. WTF?
IIRC, you live downtownish. Have you tried Frank's on S. Main? I used to go there years ago and they had a killer sandwich setup. I don't remember egg salad, but I do remember deviled eggs... so I'm sayin' there's a chance.
I have not been in Frank's but Mr. krista4 picked up some sandwiches for us there once. Excellent stuff. Will have to see if they have egg salad. I guarantee there will be olives in it, though.By the way, I have no recollection of posting in this thread last night. :goodposting:

If any of my good iFriends want in my football pool this year shoot me a pm.

It's a simple pool, pick the winner every week, no spreads. Total wins for the year is the big pay out.

$88 entry

Based on last year:

Weekly winner gets $141.00 (47x$3)

Total wins for the year:

1st Place 70% of total $ 1118.00

2nd Place 20% of total $ 320.00

3rd Place 10% of total $ 160.00

Total ($2.00 x 47 x 17) $ 1598.00
I guess you had 47 entrants last year and it was $85 a person ($3 + $2 = $5/week times 17 weeks)

and that you like King of the Hill?
Yes plus $3 a person because that it was the website charges. I pay too. I'm sure there may be free sites out there but I've been using this one for about 10 years and it has always worked well plus I don't want to confuse everybody.
NFL? NCAA? Both?

Still bummed over these netspend cards not working for online books.

No idea if/how I'm going to load up this year. Wish they would do a pokerstars-sports book transaction, that would be totally sweet. Anyone know if you can transfer funds between accounts on the greek or betjamaica?

SLB - save me a spot in your pool. I'm going to need some form or action on nfl games this year

Not regretting punching out on Rescue Me. This show stinks.
Got through Season One, maybe 1-2 discs of Season Two. Terrible.
Sell me on this show. I saw 20 minutes of one episode and hated it.TIA.
it's slipped a bit lately but the first 2 or 3 seasons were awesome.
I've just confirmed with Netflix, I got through Disc 2 of Season 2 and removed the series. Clearly I thought Season One was good enough to start on Season Two, but it takes a lot for me to remove a series in the middle of a season, so I'm guessing I thought Season Two was pretty bad.

I heard a snippet of BradyFan's latest on Minneapolis Sports Talk Radio this morning.
I sent it to most of the on-air talent and producers yesterday. Who played it? Morris?
It was during the morning show, but I think it was Hawke who actually played it. I sent it in yesterday to most of them too, but not to P.A. because he's a jackass and I hate him.

Is Forrest ever going to cover this?

http://www.nydailynews.com/ny_local/2010/0...low_of_new.html

They HAVE to be related, right? I'm not saying long lost twin or even a brother, but he's a cousin for sure.
Ooooof. You know, when I look in the mirror, I say to myself "No bad, Forrest" and shoot myself a thumbs-up before walking out with the cool confidence of Disco Stu dressed up as Superman dressed up as Chuck Norris. And yet every picture I see of myself or every link to a person somebody thinks looks like me, appalls, shocks and disgusts me. How is that every single mirror on the planet can lie to me like this? And how am I not still a virgin?

:goodposting: I understand GB. I saw a picture of me from vacation and I looked like a bloated Chucacabra that was left out in the Mojave for days. The good news is that Cal deleted all of the pictures off the camera. The bad news is that all of the hot chicks in bikini's were also deleted.

delete, nobody cares

Does anyone have any landscaping experience?

We're ripping up a section our yard on Saturday to put a bit of a swale in to get the water to run away from the house. Not sure how much wash stone I'm going to need. How do I calculate that?

I have a pair of slacks that are my favorite. I want to buy another pair just like them but I don't want my colleagues to think I wear the same pants all the time.

I also decided that I should wear black underwear from now on. Some things, no amount of bleach and washing will remove.

Two axed threads today, might have to go for the hat trick.
Topics?
The Paris Hilton thread got de-axed. I pointed out that it's the exact same question asked in the FBG bios, and Joe nixed that post (in the "The FFA isn't what it used to be" thread), and brought back the thread with a stern warning to not "veer off."
If FBG ever became a movie, who would play Joe Bryant? I'm going to with William H. Macy, culling from his Fargo & Boogie Nights roles.

I was browsing at my Yahoo homepage and saw that Animal Planet has a show called "Confessions: Animal Hoarding".

:pickle:

Danny Glover.

YSR?

I turned the sprinkler in the back yard on this morning which the puppy was laying right next to chewing on one of his bones. I giggled and went inside to make breakfast for boys. About ten minutes later the dog is at the back door soaking wet. Dumb ###. As I approached the door I see the hind legs of a rabbit at his feet. :wall: His first kill as far as I know. I let him in and dry him off but he wants to finish off his breakfast and is looking at me like I'm a moron for not letting him back out. That's when the 3yo tackled the dog and brought him down. Apparently eating this rabbit hasn't changed him. Yet....

BTW, Tanner, open this with extreme caution. There is a happy ending though.

I have 3 pairs of the same brand/style/size jeans, having purchased 2 more pairs when I discovered I loved the first pair so much. But I wear the first pair way more often than the others because they're more comfortable. I realize that if I rotated through them at regular intervals, they would all fit just as well as the one pair I wear regularly, but I keep going back to the one pair. When that pair is in the wash or otherwise unavailable, I wear khakis or a pair of slacks.

Mel Gibson seems like the obvious choice.

I'd picture it more like his role in The Cooler.

Ooh, that's good. But I think there's gotta be some Boogie Nights Macy in there too...just a hunch.
