GM's thread about nothing (47 Viewers)

I spent the afternoon counting and labeling all the parts to one of those wood playsets that I now need to find time to build.

####ING SWEET.

Also, how do you feel about the o/u on the game? Saw it at 65 earlier in the week and it's now at 66.5. Two pretty potent offenses, but I don't know about 66.5....
I like the under in this. Not as much as I like Stanford and the points, but I do think this is going to fall under the total. Stanford will attempt to chew clock and should be able to establish long scoring drives. I can also see Stanford forcing many three and outs and turn overs from Oregon. I think home crowd will force Stanford to settle for FGs. Special teams are going to play a role.Stanford 34

Oregon 28

That #### is too hot for me. I received two of them, might still have one I can send off.
i'd say TF deserves it but... i'm not sure he's actually making chilii can vouch for Tasker. we have touched each others boxes.

Should I contact the executor of his estate?
pretty sure YSR sold all his #### to a family of Bama fans
I thought YSR was a chick?
still not 100% certain

I've seen her picture. Pretty. I love her for her brains though. I've always been attracted to smart chicks. Did I mention I was bitten by a zombie?

There's a lot of smart people here and I'm not one of them.

So completely out of curiosity and with no intentions of financial gain, how do these people get away with this?
They're selling a claim that will be identified in a specific registry. As long as they're actually recording the claim, which has no value, in the registry, which has no authority, they're doing exactly what they're saying they're doing. I could sell you a quitclaim deed to the White House, which actually transfers all of my right, title and interest in the property. It would be perfectly legal, as long as I don't represent to you that I actually have any right, title or interest in the White House.
Thanks GB. Now, how much would it cost us to design a website to sell property on this new habitable planet? 5-6 hundred? Who's in?

Oh yeah, Jose & GM, you laugh at my Mom having me at 19, my GB that just got engaged? His Mom was 15. His Dad tells a funny story about trying to get a hall pass so he could make it to the hospital.

I also see why my Dad doesn't gamble any more. Completely out of control. When I was 6-7 he used to have buddies over to play poker. On weeknights. All night. I would watch with fascination and couldn't wait until the morning because there would always be $5-$10 bucks on the floor. I woke up this morning thinking, "wow, why would I put a hundred on black for my Dad, he's probably pissed." Apparently he was up with my Mom until 3 am putting 3 hundred here 4 hundred there and actually won.

I don't know.
Are you still drunk?
Yes?I'm kind of depressed, my Gb, best friend if you will, proposed to his girl friend yesterday. We've been friends since we were 8 and he was the Dsico Stu of the group. First marriage for him and she has 2 kids. And she looks a lot like Mrs. SLB. And she is divorced from Mrs. SLB's good friends BIL.

*sigh*
Tell me why you're depressed? Do you think she's bad news for him? Trying to figure out why you wouldn't be really happy for your BGB.

GM> what a game. It's not over yet but it's been super fun to watch tonight. They showed a pic of the stadium with the sun kind of setting earlier, and based on what the fans all seem to be wearing, it seems to be a perfect college football viewing experience weather-wise.

Hope you had a blast!

#### me....we've been watching SNL for 40 minutes here, and there's been a grand total of ~2 funny minutes....I thought the Rescue Dogs 3D sketch was funny.

Why does this show suck so bad? There's some funny castmembers...I think Samberg is hilarious.....the writing is just atrocious.

Two schools of thought here IMO:1. There are so many funny things on the internet now that are in the SNL genre of humor but execute it a lot better. People are consistently bombarded with funny thing in the email box 24/7, that nobody really has the appetite for watching 90 minutes of SNL anymore. I can spend 90 minutes on youtube and piece together a funnier group than I've seen on SNL for the past few years.2. SNL is cyclical, and they're going through a few years of bad times. It'll come back around eventually.

Last night I made a latenight snack of chicken, refried beans, cheese, salsa, and ranch dip, rolled in a tortilla. It was ####### delicious.

Bypassed the LSU/TEN game today. Sold my tix and am gonna relax with a few folk and watch it at home. We've got LSU and Saints season tix, so it's tough on my body and liver when there's back to back home games. Did it last week and it was rough....likely aided by Hartley blowing a 28yd fg to win the game in OT....but oh well.

We should kill Tennessee

I've tempered my Crimson Tide arrogance in CFB by following Tottenham in EPL play so far this year. Only 30 minutes in for me on the DVR, so I guess things could change over the course of the match.

Yesterday I had a half pound burger with bacon, cheddar cheese, onion rings and mozzarella stick (on the burger). Am I going to die?

oooooh... I see. you need vouching up in here. well ####.btw- I have stopped drinking water and am strictly on a coffee liquid diet. seems to be going GREAT. so far.

I wasn't sure what I was going to do today, but the recent cool spell here and mentions of TF's disaster here decided my day.

2 onions

2 bell peppers

2lbs stew meat

1lb pork sausage

Spices: Sort of followed the "Legendary Chili" thread here.

I forgot to but some beef broth at the store and had nothing here, really, so I threw in a beef boulion cube and the rest of a Pickapepper Sauce bottle I had

1 can of whole peeled tomatoes (hand squeezed)

3 jalapeno peppers, seeded and chopped in the food processor

1 small can of tomato paste (I was just going to use half of it, but ended up using the whole can)

I followed the Chili thread for directions on adding veggies, meats and spices and it turned out ok. In the end, the main problem I had was the beer I had on hand which I wanted to use as I wasn't planning to drink anymore: Sam Adams Double Boch. I wasn't a fan of it previously and I'm not a fan of it in the chili.

I added a lot more heat than they Legendary Chili likely has, but I do want to try making that one day following the entire recipe exactly and completely since so many people rave about it. I looked for some dried chiles like that recipe calls for, but was at a grocery store which was very lacking in that department.

***Oh, I like beans too, so I threw in a regular can of dark red kidney beans at the end like Judge's recipe suggests. Worked out pretty well.

Found myself driving to Jack in the Box at 11pm last night for not one, but TWO sourdough jacks. I held off on getting any fries. I'm on a diet.
munchies?
That played a small part in it....I was treated to a big breakfast early in the day by my co-workers. My lady makes my lunch for me every day, but she's out of town so I've just been eating carrots and apples and oranges at work for lunch. I'm far too lazy to make my own sandwich. So breakfast and the snacks held me over just fine. After work, I had an hour long boot camp class. After that, I showered and met my buddy out downtown for beers. We were going to eat, but never got around to it. On my way home, the hunger pains began. For some reason, Sourdough Jacks are my achilles heel. I don't know how or why I started eating them, but about 2 years ago, I tried my first and I've been hooked ever since. It's got a hold over me like a bad drug. I honestly think I might need some rehab eventually. I don't even like fast food. I never order anything else, really. But man...when the Sourdough Jack pops into my brain, I begin to shake and crave and the car literally steers itself into the 24 hour Jack in the Box by my house. There's one by my house and one by my office. If both burn down on the same day, you might want to phone the fire department and report me. Just saying....And yeah, munchies were a part of it too.
What's boot camp?
