dharmapunk - Hope you feel better soon. I had something similar happen to me. Came back from San Francisco with an infected seed in my colon. The official diagnosis was something called diverticulosis and it was very painful. But they gave me good pain meds, some anti-biotics and it healed up real nice.

I watched football with my buddy Q yesterday from 10am until 5pm. When I got home, I tried to pretend like I was sober and romantic, so I told the wife that we could watch a movie we rented called "True Grit" and not the Atlanta/Phily game, of which I had over $500 on the home dog; a bet I made on my smart phone 12 beers and 2 Jamesons into the day (I had my wife drop me off at the bar at 10am...planning ahead). Really happy that Sportsbook.com allows me to make wagers from my smart phone. I can't see what could ever go wrong with this.
Anyhow, we curled up in the blankets, turned off the lights, put on the movie and about 3 mintues into the little girl talking, I was out. Woke up at 9pm, grabbed my phone and saw the Falcons came back to win!
But uh, the wife...yeah, she thinks I'm a lump.
I have diverticulosis. I'm a freaking mess.I would also like to lay blame on Chik-Fil-A for my expanding waistline. Ever since they came back into town I look like a sausage in some of my work pants. Can pants be taken out? I've never had to do that before. There is also a Chik-Fil-A opening next week only 2 miles from my house. This won't end well.

I guess my beef with the writing (and the show itself) is that they really like to bend the boundaries of reality. At some point you'd think the team would become aware of the fact that they always scored on the last play or some huge comeback. Wouldn't they eventually just be like "Ehh, we got this. I have absolutely no idea. I had been at a beer tasting festival all day and then was in the middle of a shot parade. My text log from that night included several nonsensical texts to Frosty, many of which I still can't figure out what I was trying to say. Things got a little hazy after 9pm or so. I apologize, it was pretty dumb.
