GM's thread about nothing (29 Viewers)

Day One of me watching my kids in my ex's house is also Day One of my mom being alone for the week. I just had this phone call:

Mom: Son...........there is a BIRD stuck in the house.

Me:

Mom: I have been trying to get him out of here for the last three hours. Can I call Animal Control??

Me: Where is he in the house?

Mom: He is in the living room. Three hours!! I am scared of birds.

Me: Did you open the back door?

Mom: Yes, I opened the back door!!! He won't go out it, just gets behind it.

Me:  Did you open the FRONT door?

Mom: No, I just thought he came in the back door.......hang on.......OK, front door open. Shoo bird, shoo, no, don't sit on the door.....ummmm, OK he is gone. Guess I just needed to call you.

Me: Talk to you later. Love you. Now say it back.
 should have told her to go buy a cat.
Here, here.

CosHole sounds awesome. Wish I could be there. :(
You're not going?
January and February are really dead months around here, so Super Bowl weekend will be pretty huge for me. Probably a grand over Saturday and Sunday. Combine the lost wages with airfare and lodging and that's a pretty expensive trip.
Come stay a week. That way instead of losing $333 a day, you're only losing $143 a day. You get the ticket and I'll make sure you have a place to stay. I'll even let you be the official server over the weekend so you can rack up a few tips. If krista really comes and and with the expected generosity of the other guests, I'm sure you could clear $10-15.Uniform not provided

I love MoP math. And no worries on the uniform...I got it covered. Surly

Meeting tomorrow with a firm about working with them in some capacity. Very open-ended discussion so far, with no firm commitments and no clear model, other than them saying they want to work with me in some capacity and that they have more work than they can handle. Could be anything from traditional employer/employee relationship to just doing contract work. They also discussed opening a satellite office and having me head it up, but that doesn't seem like it makes sense for them.

I'm supposed to come up with a proposal for what I want to do. Doesn't that seem backward?

Be sure to build your new career around the dates of Feb. 1 - 4th.

You know how Dylan broke his arms in two places? Well, paid $125 in bills and thought I was done.

I just opened a bill for another $900. lol FML

:lmao: I took that isidewith.com quiz thingy (answer a bunch of questions and they tell you which candidate you match up with).

I tried to see if I could pick the answers that would give me a 100% with Romney. I got 96%. Shared it on Facebook and a friend from HS liked it. I think he really thinks I'm that conservative.

You should complain to your employer about not providing better healthcare coverage
:lmao: Oh this is the good coverage. We supposedly just upgraded over last year.
Ah, the GOOD coverage. We have that.We also have a bill from the Anesthesiologist (i'm not even going to try on that one) for $3,900 for an epidural my wife received at 3:30am when she was in intense pain. The good news is that the bill was for $4,500, so it was really sweet of insurance to cover 1/20th of it. All told we have $7,000 in medical bills related to this birth. AFTER insurance.

It's Facebook. I'm positive he thinks this.

:jawdrop: :headexplode: I heard you can argue them down on these things. I'm having Mrs. SLB call them first since medical is her area of expertise. Did you call them? I've had them F up in the past where they put the wrong group number or something in and it came back I didn't even have insurance.ETA

After thinking about it, breaking my neck didn't cost me this much money. WTMF.

You guys you guys you guys. They're making a spin-off of Boy Meets World about Cory and Topanga's daughter called, get this, Girl Meets World. I am so excited.

No this is not sarcasm. I am pumped. The only thing better would be a Saved by the Bell spin-off about Zack and Kelly's kid, but I think this actually has a chance to be good.

omg, imo

And yes, I'm fighting this like it's the last battle I'll ever wage. But the quickness with which these docs turn their bills over to collections is just astonishing to me. Wasn't like this the first go round.

Oh holy Kris Kristofrerson.

My wife is going through her sample ballot in order to get ready for tomorrow. She keeps asking me about the propositions but has some sort of convoluted counterpoint. Love the woman to death having to discuss politics/law/government with her is like watching a 2 year old trying to drive one of those Power Wheels cars. It's cute at first but you quickly realize it will end in someone getting hurt and/or property damage.

Anesthesiologists are notorious for getting their bills out first, which means they typically catch more of the deductible. And you're right, they have an itchy finger about sending accounts to collections. These guys pay five figures, monthly, for malpractice insurance. They want every dime they can get their hands on.

I'm pretty sure she single handedly (snicker) caused me to triple the consumption of Kleenex in my hometown

Hey guys. What's I miss?
Cosjobs went to Dallas to hang out with Disco Stu, Bogart and Unialias. He somehow got Culdeus and Unialias mixed up and texted the former all night long to bring him a joint to smoke. Culdeus was very confused.Guster went on a date. He didn't get laid. It only took him 3 sentences to communicate this to us.Proninja complained because daylight savings means less sunlight for those of us who have traded cars in for bikes. I hadn't thought about that until now. crap.Stryker got pulled over walking his dog with a beer in his hand. In Wisconsin. Makes me think that maybe it wasn't such a good idea to throw a lit joint on the front lawn of a police station in Wisconsin when we were there. They seem rigid and tough with regards to relaxation drugs.Uruk-hai woke up at 2am for a 7:30am fishing trip. He caught nothing. But he's going to kick cancer in the balls, so we're still bullish on him.Rude got back from Hawaii. He did not send us any backwards wearing ball caps as a souvenir. Selfish jerkwad.Tanner is still pugnacious. Homer is still a drunk. Zooks is dating his boss's daughter's friend's hairdresser but doesn't want anyone to know it. JoeT chimed in and brought nothing to the party, per usual. Truck watched some documentary about "Clerk's" director Kevin Smith attempting his hand at horror. YSR is better at poker than you. Krista bought a minor league baseball team. Tre ate Frosty. Charv renounced Sweden. Flysack is back. Rover divorced a woman he didn't even marry. Same as day one.

It's always the worst when you're left out of these updates. I was already starting to get pissed off about it 3/4 of the way through, but then he basically said I'm fat and I felt... relieved.
I guess I just got lucky then.
I figured if Shuke missed your posts he just doesn't care anymore. Those stood alone. I don't even know how to summarize them.
WHAT DID I MISS?!
