Good call for the Eagles? (1 Viewer)

This is not an IDP/FF question at all.

Do you think the Eagles deserve credit for letting Trotter go? When they let him go initially, various media outlets and what not were bashing the organization.

The Eagles usually do a good job of letting guys go after they peak (Troy Vincent, Bobby Taylor, Hollis Thomas, Corey Simon, etc.).

Yay? Nay?

The Eagles defense has looked better than last year's, but the DT position is holding it down and Gaither has looked good.

The RB's they have faced haven't been overly intimidating thus far (B. Jackson, Portis, T. Bell, Ward, T. Jones, Benson). That being said, the run defense has looked pretty solid this year outside of a few plays here and there. I love Trotter, but at this point I don't even question any personnel decisions anymore. Over the years Reid has been a pretty strong evaluator of talent, and he probably puts the best possible players on the field that the team has.

...but McNabb is starting to get to me

It was the right call.

Many wrong calls have been made as far as personnel on offense and special teams, though.
