Looking for good ideas for a text notification sound.

Something interesting, yet that won't make you feel stupid if it goes off at work in front of your boss's boss.  What do you got?

That's why I've kept it something short and simple in the past, like the tone from Vesper's phone in Casino Royale. And why I'm hesitant about the things I'd thought of which are a little longer.

It is really quite simple. Use the crank ringtone for phone calls and the Mr T. "Mail mother ####er" for messages.

I am stunned by the number of people that have blaring, annoying, custom ring tones going off in public. Add to that the coworker who is always away from their desk and their phone is going off non-stop. 

If you are someone that always has their phone on them, all you need is vibrate
If you are someone that is away from your phone often, all you need is vibrate. No one else needs to know you got a call.

A buddy of mine uses, the Mario coin for texts and the 1-UP chime for emails.
I just have mine on vibrate until I get home.

Unless you are listening to music or watching video, noises should never be heard from your phone by another person. Everyone looks at their phone out of habit every 10 seconds (at most anyway). You don't need an audible notification.

And if you have your iphone keyboard typing sound on...

It's really not that hard to put your phone on vibrate when at work, school, church, etc.  Do you really get mad when you're at the grocery store and hear a quick notification from someone's phone?

nerded out and did the custom MP3 ringtone with the Insert Coin sound effect from PacMan.  After a day I remembered how annoying sounds were and have been on vibrate since.
