I agree. I dont play in a ppr. But Hill wont improve his reception totals. Gore has been getting a ton of catches the last few weeks with Dilfer as well.In PPR, Hill will improve Gore with dump offs. He got me nice pts the last 4 weeks in PPR.With Shaun Hill starting I dont care who he's playing against, Im benching him. His upside at this point is 11 pts (which he seems to be getting every week). Im playing Jamal Lewis confidently over him (cant believe hes the 6th ranked RB).
He was, until the Vikes game, and Dilfer thought he was Favre and would not check down to Gore. When Hill came in I think Gore got 6 of his 8 catches, so don't tell me that Hill won't help Gore. Hill understands that he is not Favre, and he will know when to get in in Gore's hands. Heck Gore won the game for them in the 2nd half against Arizona with those plays, just get the ball to him in space and let him go. They can't just key him because Battle and Davis will get open if they leave them alone, so it is Gore and an LB all day baby!I agree. I dont play in a ppr. you realize it's not hill's decision on what plays are called correct? and ill repeat, gore's increased receptions hav nothing to do with hill. it's the new assistant OC that has got gore more involved. He was, until the Vikes game, and Dilfer thought he was Favre and would not check down to Gore. I do and Hill was definately Mr. Checkdown. I, as a Gore owner appreciate it and expect to see a lot of it on Saturday night. You do understand what a "check down" is, correct?you realize it's not hill's decision on what plays are called correct? and ill repeat, gore's increased receptions hav nothing to do with hill. it's the new assistant OC that has got gore more involved. He was, until the Vikes game, and Dilfer thought he was Favre and would not check down to Gore. I'm right there with you and I didn't think I would be at the begininng of the week.I'm not in a PPR, but I like the combo of the new OC calling Gore's number more plus Hill showing a tendancy to check down to Gore when the primary options aren't there. You just never know when Portis is gonna go off though...Leaning towards Gore now over Portis.
Gore's increased catches were a DIRECT result of Dilfer being out and Hill being in.I am pretty sure the OC is not Martz and Hill is not Kitna. What I mean is that Hill is looking downfield and not seeing anything he is confident he can complete, thus a checkdown to Gore.you realize it's not hill's decision on what plays are called correct? and ill repeat, gore's increased receptions hav nothing to do with hill. it's the new assistant OC that has got gore more involved.
i agree, but that doesnt explain the 16 catches Gore had in the two previous weeks in which Difler was starting. Yes, I appreciate the checkdowns, but the big reason for gore's increased productivity in the passing game has more to do with the hiring of Tollner then it does with Hill's check down decisioning.Gore's increased catches were a DIRECT result of Dilfer being out and Hill being in.I am pretty sure the OC is not Martz and Hill is not Kitna. Kitna is too stupid to do that. He thinks Martz is god and therefor does whatever Martz tells him to. It works like...well..####.
Tollner's arrival was definately what sparked Gore's increased involvement in the passing game. But for some reason Dilfer thought he was an NFL QB soon after Gore had the monster game. However, as a Gore owner, I am more confident that Hill can get him the ball more so than the Dilfer hack. That guy is embarrassing.thehornet said:i agree, but that doesnt explain the 16 catches Gore had in the two previous weeks in which Difler was starting. Pretty sad huh? Moonlight Graham is preferred over a 10+ year veteran QB. Sad state of QB'ing in the NFL. A direct result of the college game placing an emphasis on the running QB. Guys like Matt Moore need to develop. Problem is they aren't given enough of a chance. Gotta wonder how many Romo's and Brady's are out there sitting behind a hack.agreed. 100% def more confident in Hill than dilfer.Tollner's arrival was definately what sparked Gore's increased involvement in the passing game. Now that's some solid homerism there.I have Parker, Grant and Gore.
Gore is definitely sitting. Even if i had Lamont Jordan on my roster, he'd get the nod over Gore.
yikes!I have Parker, Grant and Gore.Gore is definitely sitting. Even if i had Lamont Jordan on my roster, he'd get the nod over Gore.
Only one answer so far to this question. Any thoughts (glad I don't have Jordan!)Is "Don't Call Me Al" Gore a better option than Graham at Atlanta or K.Jones versus SD? My choice at this point is KJ, but talk me off the ledge before I jump!
imagine more so if he drafted jordan over him with his first pick.....Now that's some solid homerism there.I have Parker, Grant and Gore.

might have been a good call.Leaning towards Gore now over Portis. I'm starting the Giants D, too so I'm not feelin' a big day out of Clinton......My worthy opponent will be AT that game and rooting his Giants on I'm sure. I hope they have a BIG day defensively,too.![]()
